- GTA 6 is rumored to include a fold-out physical map of the State of Leonida inside the box.
- The past two Rockstar titles, GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, came with a map included in the box.
- On the contrary, both games also came with a disc included, which GTA 6 is skipping.
GTA 6 is arguably the most anticipated game of the year, and now that pre-orders are live, players are in a dilemma to either snag a digital version or go for a physical copy with no disc, but instead a code inside the actual box. However, longtime fans know that when it comes to a GTA title, the one thing that stands out in the box is a printed copy of the in-game map, which many regard as a rare collectible item. Thus, one question lingers among fans: Is the GTA 6 physical map included in the box? Here’s what we know.
Will GTA 6 Physical Copy Include a Leonida Map Inside?
As of yet, we’re unsure whether the GTA 6 physical copy will include a printed copy of the Leonida state map, but given both Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 5 copies came with a map, we strongly believe Rockstar will include a fold-out physical map with their latest title as well.
Since Rockstar has already cleared it out to fans that the physical box will include a code rather than a disc, despite GTA 6 disc rumors releasing around Christmas 2026, we’re quite confident that the studio will not miss out on delivering fans an actual physical paper map of the State of Leonida or Vice City in the box.

On the other hand, while GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 also came with discs included, GTA 6 will be the first time Rockstar sells one of their flagship titles with just a printed code inside. Now, whether that code is printed on a miniature poster or on the actual GTA 6 map in a fold-out paper form is yet to be known.
To those unaware, the latest GTA game will bring multiple locations for players to roam around. Furthermore, players will have the option to switch between GTA 6’s dual protagonists, Jason and Lucia, between missions and heists. Moreover, if you’re unaware, the game will follow RDR2’s chapter-wise storytelling, which means missions will be played in a linear manner rather than GTA 5’s free-flow mission choice.
So, what do you think? Will the GTA 6 box include a physical map inside? Or just leave longtime GTA fans disappointed? Let us know in the comments below!
