- Ironheart has an easter egg that could predict Zelma's future.
- In Marvel Comics, Zelma got infected by Mind Maggots, which led her to Doctor Strange, and a series of events landed her in the apprenticeship of Doctor Strange.
- In Ironheart, we got to see that Zelma wants to be a sorcerer and is also in possession of Mind Maggots, so there is a possibility that if we get a season 2 of Ironheart, we could see a cameo from Doctor Strange.
As we all know, when Marvel brings a character from comic books to life, they might alter the character itself, but often include easter eggs that align with the comic-accurate character. Now, sometimes these easter eggs might be too obvious, but most of the time, you need a really keen eye to pinpoint them. One such case is seen in Ironheart, where we see Zelma drop a Doctor Strange easter egg which is directly connected to her comic book lore.
Sneaky Doctor Strange Easter Egg in Ironheart

When Riri and her mom went to see Madeleine and her daughter, Zelma, they got to know that Madeleine and Zelma are quite literally involved in Magic, and they learnt to do so at Kamar-Taj, the same place where Doctor Strange got his training.
However, this is not the easter egg I am referring to. We got to know that Zelma was not allowed to officially learn magic, but she did it on her own. Following this, she showed Riri and her mom a jar of insect-like beings called “Mind Maggots,” and this is the easter egg that you might have missed.
In Marvel Comics, more specifically, in Doctor Strange #1, released in 2015, we see that Zelma was infected by Mind Maggots, which caused a growth in her head. Seeking help, she reached Doctor Strange, who forced the maggots out of her head but scattered them across the Sanctum Sanctorum. These creatures are extremely dangerous, so Strange, Zelma, and Wong started hunting them down, but there were too many.
Now, since Mind Maggots feed off of a person’s secrets or guilt, Doctor Strange told Zelma to think about her darkest secret, and since the maggots are still in sync with her, they will all come at her, and Doctor Strange will capture them all before they reach her. She did it, and the Mind Maggots were caught.
Following this, Strange also made Zelma his librarian, and after some intense events that proved Zelma’s strength of character, Doctor Strange took Zelma to be his apprentice. Now, since we have already been shown Zelma in possession of the Mind Maggots, and her desire to be an actual sorceress, there is a chance that if Ironheart ever gets a Season 2, we might get a cameo from Doctor Strange, but as of now, this is just a fun easter egg.
