In the wake of the iPhone XR, iPhone XS and the iPhone XS Max trio’s announcement, Apple has slashed the price of the previous generation iPhone models in India. The price cuts on the older iPhone models are now live on the Apple India website, however, they are still available at higher prices at authorized retail stores and e-commerce websites.
Starting with last year’s iPhone X, the unfortunately discontinued device is now listed at Rs. 91,900 for its 64GB variant, down from Rs. 95,390, while the 256GB variant’s price has been reduced to Rs. 1,06,90, a reduction of around Rs. 2,000 on the original Rs. 1,08,930 price point.
The iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus duo, which was launched alongside the iPhone X, has also received a price cut. The iPhone 8’s 64GB variant is down to Rs. 59,900, while the device’s 256GB variant is now listed at Rs. 74,900. As for its bigger sibling, the iPhone 8 Plus’ 64GB model will now be available at Rs. 69,900, while the 256GB variant will be up for grabs at Rs. 84,900.
The biggest price cuts were for the iPhone 7 pair as well as the iPhone 6S duo.
The iPhone 7’s 32GB version, originally priced at Rs. 52,370, is now down to just Rs. 39,900, while the 128GB model, which retailed for Rs. 61,560, will now be available at just Rs. 49,900 once the pricing goes live across online and retail stores.
Similarly, prices of the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus have also been brought down significantly. The iPhone 6S now starts at just Rs. 29,900, down from Rs. 42,900 for the 32GB version, while the iPhone 6S Plus (32GB) will be available at Rs. 34,900, much lower than its previous asking price of Rs. 52,240.

Beebom spoke to many authorized Apple retail stores as well as Croma outlets, but we were informed that the new reduced prices of the older generation iPhone models have not become effective in all outlets. Indeed, Apple’s website has only been updated a few hours ago, so the new pricing will probably come into effect later this month.
