Warzone is no stranger to promoting whatever the next Call of Duty title is, and following the Season 5 update, players have been discovering a ton of material linked to Black Ops 7. The upcoming title will reportedly arrive sometime in November, and in the run-up to its release, you can expect to see easter eggs and events themed around the game. For the time being, the devs have added a brand-new XM4 blueprint that comes with tracers and is completely free to obtain. With this in mind, here’s how you can unlock the ‘Prismatic’ XM4 blueprint in Warzone.

How to Get ‘Prismatic’ XM4 Blueprint in Warzone

To get the secret XM4 blueprint, you’ll need to locate special Red Butterfly Loot Crates in Verdansk, open them, and collect 30 Red Butterflies. These loot crates spawn near specific POIs during a match, and their locations are randomized. You can identify them via the distinct red mist emanating from the crates.

Once you open them, you’ll trigger a hallucination sequence where you’ll be able to spot Red Butterfly trails. Follow these trails until the hallucination ends to collect the butterflies. It’ll take multiple matches, but eventually, you’ll be able to collect the 30 Red Butterflies required to complete this hidden objective. After you meet the target, you’ll receive an on-screen message notifying you of your brand-new XM4 blueprint.

As you can see in the image above, most Red Butterfly Loot Crates are located near POIs. While their exact spawn locations are randomized in every match, they will always spawn outside or on top of a building, and never indoors. Moreover, only one of these loot crates spawns at a given location in every match, meaning you might have to visit multiple spots to progress the objective.

Considering this objective can be accomplished solo, we recommend pursuing it in Battle Royale Casual. This way, you’ll be likely to run into enemy resistance. And if you haven’t earned them already, we also suggest collecting the three Stadium easter egg blueprints before they expire.

That wraps up our guide on how to get the ‘Prismatic’ XM4 blueprint in Warzone. Are you surprised that the skin is available for free? Be sure to let us know in the comments.
