1. Auto Save Game Feature in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Right at the start, when you start the save game tutorial in KCD 2, you will learn about the auto-save feature. Autosave will only trigger when you pass through the important moments. Be it a specific quest completion or just after a battle, you will have the autosave do the job for you.
2. Use Bathhouse Services in KCD 2
You can also trigger the autosave by visiting the bathhouse and using one of the services. All the bathhouse services help save KCD 2 progress. This means if you select any of the options from the bathhouse, it will automatically be saved in your autosaves.
3. Manual Save in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
That clears the autosaving part of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. But what about the manual saves? From day 1 in KCD 2, you can save the game by visiting your bed and using the Sleep and Save option. This will save the game immediately and let you visit the game file from the load file whenever you want. To manually save in KCD 2, simply walk up to your bed and press the E key on your PC.
4. Save the Game Using Saviour Schnapps
Too far away from bed? You can also save your game anytime by using Saviour Schnapps. Craft Saviour Schnapps in KCD 2, purchase them from the shop or pick them from anywhere on the map. Once you have it, putting it in your inventory will let you save the game. Once you have it, open the main menu and click the Save Game option.
5. Using the Save and Quit Game Option
Out of Saviour Schnapps? You can try the Save and Quit option from the main menu to save the game in KCD 2. However, this option has its problems. Once you use this option and play the game, it will no longer treat the load file as permanent.
This means the Save and Quit load file will be overwritten whenever a new autosave is triggered. So, we suggest sticking to the methods above to save your KCD 2 game.
