In Short
  • Titanium Ingots are crafted using the Processor machine in Subnautica 2.
  • Players must first scan and unlock the Processor blueprint near the wreckage areas.
  • Titanium Ingots are essential for advanced crafting, vehicles, and large base construction.

Titanium Ingots are one of the most important resources in Subnautica 2 due to their applications in constructing some advanced equipment. While regular Titanium can be easily found by searching the ocean floor for metallic lumps, crafting its ingots is where things get a bit interesting. You won’t readily find Titanium Ingots anywhere in the open ocean, instead it must be crafted on the Processor machine. So, jump right in to learn how to make Titanium Ingots in Subnautica 2 and what their uses are in the game.

How to Make Titanium Ingots in Subnautica 2: Step-by-Step Crafting Guide

Before you can craft the Titanium Ingots in Subnautica 2, you need to unlock the Processor blueprint and build the machine inside a separate base. Although the entire process is pretty straightforward, there are no specific in-game tutorials, and that leaves the players confused during the early hours. Here’s how to make Titanium Ingots in Subnautica 2.

Step 1: Unlock Processor Blueprint

The Processor can refine raw resources into advanced materials used for further engineering. To unlock its blueprint, you must first scan a Processor unit found inside the wreckage areas or abandoned underwater habitats. One of the earliest ways to unlock a Processor blueprint in Subnautica 2 is by following the steps below:

  • From your Lifepod, head to the southwest until you reach a huge orange coral dome.
  • Now, head towards the east and dive below once you spot a huge drop-off in the ocean.
  • Near the ocean floor, you will spot a broken building. Head closer, and the Cicada shipwreck name will pop up on the screen.
  • Inside the Cicada shipwreck, you can find the Processor and several other scannable objects.
  • Once near the Processor, equip the Scanner, then press and hold the right mouse button to scan it and unlock its blueprint.

There is also another Processor in an abandoned habitat near the Alien Ruins to the far east direction. However, it can be dangerous to go there as a beginner due to the presence of hostile creatures.

Step 2: Craft Processor

Once scanned, the Processor becomes available in your habitat-building menu. Now, go back to your Lifepod area, and use the Habitat Builder tool to build yourself a small base with a hatch. You are free to skip this step if you have already built a cool base near your spawn point.

Head inside, and right-click on your Habitat Builder again. Now, click on the Interior Facilities tab to find the Processor blueprint. Here are the crafting ingredients required:

  • 2 Titanium
  • 1 Mild Acid
  • 1 Copper Wire

A copper wire can be crafted once you learn how to find copper in Subnautica 2. The Mild Acid can be made using acidic pouches and Copper. While Titanium is easily found by scouring the ocean floor.

Since the Processor consumes a decent amount of energy while running, make sure your base has enough power generation before using it to make the Titanium Ingot. Attaching a few solar panels should be enough to power up the Processor.

Step 3: Making a Titanium Ingot

Once your processor is powered and operational, you can begin making the Titanium Ingots. Left-click with your mouse on the Processor left panel to configure it. A catalogue of items that can be made using the machine opens up.

Select the Titanium Ingot recipe and click on it to start the process. It will consume 3 pieces of raw Titanium and 30 seconds of processing time to make one ingot. Moreover, unlike the Fabricator, a Processor can handle crafting multiple materials at a time. So, if you have enough raw materials, consider selecting the required number of pieces to craft all your Titanium Ingots fast.

Subnautica 2 Titanium Ingot Uses

Titanium Ingots become increasingly important as you move beyond the early survival phase in Subnautica 2. While raw Titanium can handle the basic crafting recipes, the advanced machinery often requires ingots. Here are some of the main items in Subnautica 2 that use Titanium Ingots as a crafting material:

  • Tadpole Dock: Requires 2 Titanium Ingots, 1 Silver Ingot, and 2 Copper Wire.
  • Vehicle Fabricator: Requires 2 Titanium Ingots, 1 Copper Wire, and 2 Glass.
  • Bioreactor: Requires 2 Titanium Ingots and 2 Copper Ingots.
  • Sonic Resonator: Requires 2 Titanium Ingots, 1 Basic Battery, 2 Lead, 1 Wiring Kit.
  • Repair Tool: Requires 1 Titanium Ingot, 1 Wiring Kit, 1 Basic Battery, 1 Sulfur.
