The Seven are easily one of the most recognisable aspects of Fortnite, and the faction, after being absent from the storyline for almost 4 years, has now returned to the Battle Royale island to fight against the Dark Voyager.

This time around, the Seven are not coming in empty-handed, as they are bringing in a new Seven Cluster Cannon, a powerful new shoulder-mounted weapon that is sure to spice up the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 loot pool. Here’s everything you need to know about this weapon.

What is the Seven Cluster Cannon in Fortnite?

The Seven Cluster Cannon is the latest Seven-themed weapon to be added to Fortnite, celebrating the return of the beloved faction to the game’s ever-growing storyline. It is a hitscan launcher that functions similarly to the Rail Gun from Chapter 2 Season 7, and utilizes a charge-to-fire mechanic.

The weapon was first officially revealed during the Fortnite Love and Legends trailer, where players could see the Ice King using the Seven Cannon while fighting alongside the Dark Voyager.

How to Get the Seven Cannon in Fortnite

You can only get the Seven Cluster Cannon in Fortnite through the upcoming March 7 Power Hour. This might be a first for Fortnite, as Epic’s official blog reveals that the developers are allowing players to test out the power and functionality of this weapon before adding it to the loot pool. Much like previous Power Hours, all players will start out with the Seven Cluster Cannon already in their inventory. The Seven Cluster Cannon will be fully released in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2.

How to Use the Seven Cluster Cannon in Fortnite

The Seven Cluster Cannon is one of the more unique Fortnite weapons we’ve seen in Fortnite in a while. Functioning like a rail gun, you can charge up the Seven Cluster Cannon to fire a primary shell that, upon impact, releases seven micro-explosives in a tight radius. This allows players to wreak havoc during a fight, even if they don’t have impeccable aim.

When using the Seven Cluster Cannon, it is better not to aim for the body, but rather go for the ground at the enemies’ feet or the wall behind them. This allows your initial blast to crack the enemy’s shields, and the subsequent explosions will finish the job before your enemy can build to protect themselves.

However, it is important to remember that the Seven Cluster Cannon has a heavy kickback and a 4.2-second reload time. It is suggested that you don’t solely rely on the weapon when taking on an enemy, and have a follow-up like an AR or an SMG ready to pressure the opponent while the clusters are still detonating.
