How to Get Crown Sprite in Fortnite

In Short
  • Fortnite players can get the Crown Sprite by finding and using Cheat Codes, defeating opponents who have it, or trading it with friends.
  • The Crown Sprite in Fortnite grants extra Crown Wins after getting a Victory Royale.
  • Unlike other Fortnite Sprites, the Crown Sprite has to be leveled up by securing Victory Royales.

A king has arrived on the Fortnite island with the release of Chapter 7 Season 4 in the form of an adorable creature called the Crown Sprite. Unlike other Sprites that grant in-game buffs, this one only grants a very specific bonus at the end of each match. If you’re thinking about an XP boost, that’s not it. Nevertheless, if you’re wondering, here’s how to get the Crown Sprite in Fortnite.

Where to Find Crown Sprite in Fortnite: All Locations and Methods

To find the Crown Sprite in Fortnite, you’ll need to be familiar with all the new locations added to the Battle Royale island. The current Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 map is full of wonderful secrets and gaming-themed features that can lead you to a Victory Royale. That said, here are some methods you can use to find the Crown Sprite in Fortnite:

Using Cheat Codes

You can get the Crown Sprite in Fortnite by making use of the newly added Cheat Code mechanic. Do not confuse these with Fortnite Lobby Hack (Admin Panel) Codes, which are limited to the main Battle Royale lobby menu. Cheat Codes can be found all over the island; in fact, you could find multiple within a single POI. If you’re lucky, the Crown Sprite could be obtained from the very first attempt.

Just be careful while entering Cheat Codes, as you’ll not be able to see much around you. With limited vision, enemies may just get the upper hand in a Fortnite match. We recommend exploring the POI you land at the start of the match using the Sonic Power Sneakers in Fortnite to save some time.

Eliminating opponents

If you are good at combat and able to secure Victory Royales easily, this method is better suited to your needs. Instead of searching for the Crown Sprite in Fortnite, you can simply eliminate an opponent and claim it as yours.

Use the newly added 8-Bit Shotgun from the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 loot pool to deliver devastating close-range blows. If you prefer fighting from afar, the Fortnite Mega Buster is a great tool for the job.

Trading with friends

Trading Sprites in Fortnite is your last option. If you have a friend who has a Crown Sprite, you can ask them to trade it with you. They’ll need to spend some Sprite Dust to summon it back, but it’s by far the easiest method.

If they are reluctant, try offering them a Klombo Sprite in Fortnite to add value to the trade. Given how rare it is, someone must surely need or want it. Once the Crown Sprite is added to your collection, you can share or exchange it with other players.

Furthermore, the Crown Sprite can be found in high-altitude areas on the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 map. This means you will have to search for Cheat Codes in and around locations such as Lifty Lodge, Green Hill Zone, Golden Grove, and Stone Sanctum. We’ve added a Fortnite map below to help give you a better idea of where to begin your search for Crown Sprite:

That said, the Crown Sprite is one of the many new Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Sprites that you will come across. If you’re looking for something stylish to pair it with, you could perhaps try donning the Mali skin from the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass. Her attire is red and will match the Crown Sprite’s color scheme.

Fortnite Crown Sprite Powers Explained

The Crown Sprite in Fortnite grants you extra Crown Wins after getting a Victory Royale. If you want to show off your Victory Crown count, this Sprite will help you immensely, granted you win matches, that is.

However, you will not be able to level up the Crown Sprite that easily in Fortnite. Akin to the Klombo Sprite, it has its own leveling mechanics. Using Campfires in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 or opening chests and ammo boxes does nothing.

Here is how the Crown Sprite works as it levels up in Fortnite:

Crown Sprite LevelPower Increase Per Level
Level 1TBA
Level 2TBA
Level 3TBA
Level 4TBA
Level 5TBA

Based on its functionality, we’re going to say that the Crown Sprite doesn’t offer much in terms of buffs during the match. Unless you secure a Victory Royale, it’s not of much use. Consider using other Fortnite Sprites for a better competitive advantage.

How to Master Crown Sprite in Fortnite

To master the Crown Sprite in Fortnite, you will need to secure Victory Royales. As mentioned, it won’t level up like other Sprites. Unless you’re capable of winning every match, it’s going to be an uphill battle trying to upgrade the Sprite. Thankfully, there is a little ‘hack’ you can use to master the Crown Sprite in Fortnite without having to win matches.

You’ll need to own the Adventure Sprite and have it equipped, while keeping the Crown Sprite as the only item in your inventory. Next, you’ll need to search chests, open ammo and produce boxes, and light campfires; do just about anything that will level up your Adventure Sprite. You can also try your luck catching fish at Golden Fishing Spots in Fortnite to earn XP.

  • Fortnite Crown Sprite before opening chest
  • Fortnite Crown Sprite after opening chest

When your Adventure Sprite gains a level, one item in your inventory – in this case, your Crown Sprite will level up. This will allow you to bypass its upgrade level requirements. Once you master it, extract it, and give it a forever home in your Fortnite Sprite Garden.

Lastly, if you’re really great at Fortnite and manage to find a Victory Crown and secure a Victory Royale, you’ll be able to master your Crown Sprite immediately. You will also unlock the Cheat Master variant of the Crown Sprite once you get a dub in a Fortnite match.

All Crown Sprite Variants in Fortnite

As of the update v42.00, there are a total of three Crown Sprite variants that you can find in Fortnite. This includes the base variant in Chapter 7 Season 4. More could be added in future updates, but for the time being, here’s the list of all Crown Sprites in Fortnite and their variants:

  • Crown Sprite (Base): Grants you extra Crown Wins after getting a Victory Royale
  • Cheat Master Crown: Base power + all inputs are correct when entering cheat codes found in the world.
  • Gold Crown: Base power + gain 3x bonus XP from eliminations.

How Rare is Crown Sprite in Fortnite?

Based on our own observations, Crown is not the rarest Sprite in Fortnite, but it is hard to come by. So far, we’ve only been able to find one since the start of Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4. In contrast, we’ve found many of the other new Sprites with ease.

We speculate that its drop rate is somewhere between 0.0025% and 0.025%. It is rather low, but we have seen rarer Fortnite Sprites than this. We’ll update this section with detailed stats when they become available.
