Epic Games has launched the Fortnite Endgame LTM, bringing the iconic mode back years after its debut in Chapter 1 Season 8. Just like last time, this limited-time mode features two teams of 16 fighting over control of the Infinity Stones (yeah, the ones from Avengers). If you want to learn how to collect all the Infinity Stones in the Fortnite Endgame LTM, here’s everything you need to know.
How to Find Infinity Stones in Fortnite Endgame LTM
In the Fortnite Endgame LTM, players are split into two teams: Avengers and Chitauri. It is the Chitauri’s primary goal is to secure all of the Infinity Stones for Thanos. The Avengers, on the other hand, you guessed it, need to stop them. They need to eliminate the Chitauri 150 times to stop their ability to respawn and then defeat the remaining players.
If you are playing as a Chitauri, you can find Infinity Stones by keeping an eye on the sky during a match in the Endgame mode in Fortnite OG Season 8. It’s that simple.
Here are the steps you will need to follow to find and collect all 6 Infinity Stones in the Fortnite Endgame LTM:
- Once the match begins, wait for the notification telling you that an Infinity Stone is on the way.
- After the stone becomes available, check the skyline. You can see a pillar of light shooting in the sky, telling you the exact location of the Infinity Stone.
- You will also be able to see an icon for the available Infinity Stone on your HUD compass and mini-map.
- Reach the stone before one of the Avengers members.
- To claim a stone, you need to stand over it and hold the Interact button (Square/ X on controller and E on PC) to collect it.
Be careful, as it takes up to 6 seconds to claim the stone. You are vulnerable during the animation, so have a fellow Chitauri cover you when collecting the Infinity Stone.
If you are the first Chitauri player to pick up an Infinity Stone, you will get a chance to play as Thanos in Fortnite. You can then wreak havoc as the Mad Titan while the other Chitauri try to collect the other Infinity Stones.
If you are playing for the Avengers team, don’t worry, you won’t be using regular Fortnite weapons to take down Thanos, as the Endgame LTM features an array of Avengers weapons for you to use. However, since the mode takes place on the OG map, you cannot ride on player’s shoulders or ride Llamas to gain an advantage against the enemy team.
All Infinity Stone Buffs in Fortnite Endgame LTM
The Infinity Stones in the Endgame LTM aren’t just shiny pieces of rock; they provide buffs not only to Thanos but also to the rest of the Chitauri team. Here is a breakdown of all of the Fortnite Infinity Stones (similar in color to the Avengers movies) and the buffs they provide:
Infinity Stone Color Thanos Buff Description Reality Stone Red Increases total Health and Shield pool from 1,000 to 2,000. Soul Stone Orange Grants Thanos shields for every Hero eliminated. Mind Stone Yellow Significantly increases how high Thanos can leap into the air. Space Stone Blue Triples the Area of Effect size and increases damage by 6x. Time Stone Green Triples punch damage and adds a massive knockback effect to hits. Power Stone Purple Increases the damage of Thanos’ Power Beam by 6x.
In addition to these buffs, each Infinity Stone you collect in Fortnite also increases the total health of every Chitauri soldier by 25, making them even more formidable to take down.
What Happens When Chitauri Collect All 6 Infinity Stones in Fortnite?
Once the Chitauri team collects all 6 Infinity Stones, the Avengers team’s respawns will be disabled, and you will see the text “The Infinity Gauntlet is complete” on your screen.
Since the Endgame LTM is a modified version of the Fortnite Team Rumble mode, both teams have respawn abilities, with the Avengers having infinite respawns while the Chitauri have a limited pool of 50 respawns.
When all Infinity Stones are collected, the Chitauri team simply needs to eliminate each player on the Avengers team to win the match. However, if the Chitauri runs out of respawns, the remaining members of the group, along with Thanos if he’s still active, must fight to survive without the ability to come back.
