How to Unlock Free Skins in Fortnite
There are three ways free skins or cosmetics can be earned in the game. Remember that Fortnite doesn’t run promo codes for free V-Bucks. As such, here are the three official ways you can get free Fortnite skins:
- Tournaments: Epic Games holds tournaments where top performers win free skins. Past prizes included Beast Boy and Chloe Kim!
- Events & Quests: Special events often offer exclusive quests with free cosmetic rewards. Winterfest even grants two free skins each year!
- Giveaways: While Epic rarely releases free skin codes, look for online giveaways. Twitch Prime offered free skins in the past, but that program has ended. Three “Refer-A-Friend” events have also happened, but none are currently active.
Fortnite Crew Subscription Skin
Although the Fortnite Crew subscription is not free, it comes with many perks, including multiple skins. For only $11.99 a month, you can get yourself new skins, matching cosmetics, and other rewards. Not only that, you will also get the primary Battle Pass with the Crew subscription. Even if Fortnite has too many battle passes.
We all know how many skins you can get from the Battle Pass. So, if you have some bucks to spend, get the Crew subscription and get a lot of skins and cosmetics. Of course, cancel your Fortnite Crew subscription anytime, but your earned skins will stay in your inventory permanently.
