Make sure you have at least the Basic Diving Gear Set before heading into this region. Now, follow the steps below to enter the Desolate Deep and get the Aurora Totem:
1. Reach the Desolate Pocket
- Locate the Red Buoy behind the Sunstone Island and the Statue of Sovereignty. You can find it easily at these coordinates: -790, 125, -3100 using the GPS.
- Dive directly below the buoy and keep going down the entrance to the Desolate Deep.
- Once you find the skeleton at the bottom, turn around and head straight where you will find the warning signboard.
- Take a right turn and head straight to avoid the mines while sticking to the ocean bed.
- As you reach the end of this path, take a left turn, and you will notice some purple and pink corals. Now, keep moving up gradually to reach the surface. You have now reached the Desolate Pocket.
2. Reach the Cave Beside the Brine Pool
- Go straight to the island, and you will find an NPC named Clarence to your right. He will be pointing in the direction of the Brine Pool.
- Cross the water body and reach the other platform where Clarence was facing.
- Now climb up the ledge and cross the small gaps in between using a Glider (that you can find beside the Merchant in the Desolate Pocket).
