Getting a good loot early in a Fortnite match can be really important. Thankfully, Fortnite’s Chapter 6 Season 1 has plenty of opportunities for that. Where to Find Secret Cave in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1
Before you can access the cave, you’ll need to know exactly how to reach it. The cave is located beneath the Magic Mosses POI in the northern section of the map. Here’s how to get there:
- Land at Magic Mosses, specifically targeting the central area
- Find and collect a Sprite from the nearby forest (look for Sprite Shrines with glowing white lights – air sprites)
- Head to the center building and break through the wooden floor with your pickaxe
- Drop down and break the second floor
- Finally, look for the area with turtle statues near the water
Once you’ve reached the area with the turtle statues, simply approach the rock wall between them while carrying a Sprite in your inventory. The wall will automatically slide up, revealing a passage. You’ll need to break one more darker-colored rock with your pickaxe to access the main chamber.
What Does the Secret Fortnite Cave Hold
The Magic Mosses secret cave is one of the most rewarding hidden locations in Chapter 6, offering multiple high-tier chests, including rare Elemental Chests that can drop powerful Oni masks and legendary weapons. This spot is particularly valuable because it’s often overlooked by other players, giving you a chance to gear up without immediate competition.
Inside, you’ll discover the main chamber contains multiple Elemental Chests, Rare Chests, and Slurp Canisters. You might even find a Typhoon Blade weapon shrine. After collecting your loot, you don’t need to backtrack through the cave system. Look for the port-a-potties inside the cave – these will teleport you back to the surface at Magic Mosses. You can continue looting the area from there or rotate to your next destination.
The Magic Mosses’ secret cave is one of Chapter 6, Season 1’s best-kept secrets for getting high-tier loot early in the match. While it requires a bit more effort to access than regular landing spots, the guaranteed quality of loot makes it worth mastering the route.
