- The best team comp for Jade is Argenti (DPS), Robin (Support), Jade (Support/Sub-DPS), and Aventurine (Sustain).
Jade is the latest addition to Honkai Star Rail’s ever-increasing character roster, and her kit is extremely strong against multi-target scenarios. She is a mixture of support and DPS character, having abilities that are best paired alongside other Erudition units. Jade is one of the best picks for Pure Fiction, having the ability to cause pure mayhem in her enemy node. If you are planning to get Jade, or already have pulled her, here is a complete build guide to get the best out of her kit.
Honkai Star Rail Jade: Path, Damage Type & Lore
Jade is a 5-star Erudition character with the Quantum Damage type and she acts as a buffer for other Erudition characters and also has a strong DPS kit. She also scales on Attack, and her Basic Attack does blast damage.
When it comes to her Lore and Backstory, she is a senior manager in the IPC Strategic Investment Department and one of the Ten Stonehearts, like Aventurine. She is a cold and elegant moneylender, skilled at understanding the human heart. Her personal hobby, Bonajade Exchange, is to fulfill her clients’ wishes in exchange for some of equal value from them.
HSR Jade Release Date and Banner
Jade will release on July 10, 2024, in the Honkai Star Rail 2.3 version. In her first banner, Jade features next to 4-star characters Asta, Natasha, and Serval. Argenti’s rerun banner also features alongside Jade’s first banner.
Honkai Star Rail Jade Kit and Best Cycle Rotation
- Lash of Riches (Basic Attack): Deals blast Quantum damage equal to 90% of Jade’s Attack to the main target and 30% of her attack to adjacent enemies.
- Acquisition Surety (Skill): Increases Speed of a single ally by 30 for 3 turns, marking them as debt collectors. When the debt collector attacks an enemy, Jade deals 1 instance of additional Quantum damage equal to 25% of her attack to each enemy hit, and consumes the ally marked with debt collector’s health equal to 2% of their Max HP. If their current HP is insufficient, reduce the HP to 1.
- Vow of the Deep (Ultimate): Deals AoE Quantum damage equal to 240% of her attack. Additionally, she enhances her talent’s follow-up attack, increasing the damage multiplier by 80%. This enhancement can take effect 2 times.
- Fang of Flare Flaying (Talent): When Jade or her chosen ally attacks any enemy, Jade gains 1 stack of Charge for each enemy hit. After reaching 8 points of Charge, she consumes all the 8 points and launches 1 instance of Follow-up Attack, dealing AoE Quantum damage equal to 120% of her attack. Additionally, launching her Talent’s Follow-up attack makes her gain 5 Stacks of Pawned Asset, each stack increasing 2.4% Crit Damage, with a maximum stack limit of 50 times.
- Visionary Predation (Technique): Inflicts Blind Fealty of enemies in a set area for 10 second. Enemies inflicted with Blind Fealty cannot attack the player outside battle. When entering battle, all enemies with Blind Fealty will enter combat simultaneously. After entering battle, all enemies take Quantum damage equal to 50% of Jade’s Attack and she immediately gains 15 stacks of Pawned Asset.
Jade’s main role in the team is going to be a support for other Erudition units. Her Skill should be used on another Erudition character on the team, best with Argenti, buffing their speed and quickly allowing her Charge stacks to reach 8, allowing her to use the AoE Follow-up attack.
She is pretty simple to play, all you need to do is use her Skill on an Erudition Ally and trigger her Follow-up attacks as much as possible, which also increases her Crit Damage to get the best out of Jade’s build. Having a Blast Basic attack also makes her very Skill Point efficient. Jade’s Ultimate also enhances her Follow-up attack damage, so make sure to use it just before triggering her Follow up attack.
Best Jade Relics in HSR
- 4-piece The Ashblazing Grand Duke (Best Relic)
- 4-piece Genius of Brilliant Stars
- 4-piece The Wind Soaring Valorous
The 4-piece Ashblazing Grand Duke relic set is the best Jade, as it increases the Follow-up attack damage by a lot, also buffing the wearer’s attack by 6% every time it does damage, up to a max of 8 stacks. This is the best Relic set for Jade in all circumstances except against Quantum weakness enemies, where it falls a little short of her other alternative.
The 4-piece Genius of Brilliant Stars is the best alternative for Jade, however, it is the best against Quantum weakness enemies. This set increases Quantum Damage and allows the wearer to ignore 20% of the enemy defenses.

- 2-piece Duna, Dynasty of Running Wolves (Best Planar Ornament)
- 2-piece Sigonia the Unclaimed Desolation
- 2-piece Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm
The 2-piece Duna, Dynasty of Running Wolves is the perfect Planar Ornament set for Jade’s best build. It increases Follow-up attack damage of the wearer and further increases the Crit Damage after the wearer uses 5 Follow-up attacks.
Other than that, the 2-piece Sigonia, the Unclaimed Desolation, and 2-piece Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Real Planar Ornament Sets are also good for Jade, especially if you have better sub-stats on them.

Planar Sphere | Quantum Damage % = Attack % / Crit Rate > Crit Damage > Attack % > Speed |
Link Rope | Attack % / Crit Rate > Crit Damage > Speed |
When it comes to the best Relic and Planar Ornament stats for Jade, try to reach between 2.5k and 3k Attack, around 120 Speed (134 with Speed Boots), more than 70% Crit Rate, and around 120% Crit Damage.
As Jade naturally stacks a lot of Crit Damage through her kit, it is best to favor Crit Rate in sub-stats over Crit Damage. Use a Crit Rate body, Attack Boots, Quantum Damage or Attack Sphere, and Attack Rope to get the best out of Jade’s build.

Should You Pull Jade in Honkai Star Rail?
No, unless you don’t have a strong unit for Pure Fiction, I don’t recommend you pull for Jade. Currently, her kit is only good alongside other Erudition units, which are also considered the weakest characters in the game. She is only worthwhile to pull if you already have Argenti and plan on using him more effectively.
But, the decision is still up to you. Jade is a great character, even though she is only useful in very specific scenarios. If you have any further questions about Jade’s best build, ask us in the comment section and we will try to help you out.
