Penacony was arguably the best story arc of Honkai Star Rail, and it introduced a ton of new characters, with some of them only appearing briefly in the story. Finally, Hoyoverse is planning to release The Dahlia in Honkai Star Rail. | Type | Details |
|---|---|
| Rarity | 5-Star |
| Path | The Nihility |

| Defense | 606 |
| HP | 1087 |
| Speed | 96 |

Is The Dahlia Worth Pulling? Pros and Cons
The Dahlia is an extremely good Break support, and she single-handedly makes the Break teams viable again. She allows her team to deal Super Break DMG to enemies without needing to break their toughness bar. This is particularly useful for Break Teams as more and more enemies are starting to appear with massive Toughness bars.
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Allows Super Break damage without breaking | Not great outside Break teams |
| Increases weakness break efficiency, and break damage | |
| Can apply weaknesses | |
| Reduces enemy defense |
Next, she also increases weakness break efficiency and break damage of allies, and can reduce enemy defense with her Ultimate. But that’s not where it stops, as The Dahlia can also apply weaknesses of her allies to enemies.
Overall, Dahlia is easily one of the best supports in the game, and she can make any character have a viable Break build. Which means, characters who are not traditionally Break DMG dealers can go Break build and deal decently well with Dahlia on the team. If you have Break DPS characters like Firefly, Boothill, and Rappa, then you should definitely pull for her. Otherwise, you can skip her for Honkai Star Rail 4.0 characters.
The Dahlia’s Signature Light Cone vs E1?
Both Dahlia’s signature Light Cone and Eidolon 1 are great in Honkai Star Rail. But if you have to pick between one, then you should always go for her signature Light Cone. Her signature Light Cone provides a huge Break Effect increase for the wearer and a Break DMG boost for not only the wearer but also the one who initiates combat, or your Break DPS. However, the best part about her signature Light Cone is that it generates 1 Skill point when the wearer implants a weakness. This makes her rotations a lot more viable in fully stacked teams.
Compared to that, her E1 increases Super Break DMG for the entire team, while also making them deal more Toughness DMG. However, this is only useful over the signature is if you have stacked teams with perfect rotation and stats for the other characters.
Honkai Star Rail The Dahlia Best Build
Now that you know whether The Dahlia is worth pulling or not in Honkai Star Rail, it’s time to check her best build. The Dahlia’s best build will use her signature Lightcone, Never Forget Her Flame. Next, it will use the Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge and Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern as Relic and Planar Ornament. Finally, you have to prioritize getting Speed and Break Effect stats on her to maximize her usefullness.
| Type | Information |
|---|---|
| Light Cone | Never Forget Her Flame |
| Relic | Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge |
| Planar Ornament | Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern |
| Main Stats | Body: ATK% Boots: Speed Sphere: ATK% Rope: Break Effect |
| Sub Stats | Speed > Break Effect > ATK% > EHR > HP% |

HSR The Dahlia Build Best Light Cones
Other than her signature Light Cone, you can also use Lies Dance on the Breeze. This Light Cone may not provide Break DMG but it allows The Dahlia to shred enemy defenses and increases her speed greatly. You can also use Long Road Leads Home for a Break Effect boost instead.
| Name | Rarity | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Never Forget Her Flame | 5-Star | Best |
| Lies Dance on the Breeze | 5-Star | Great |
| Long Road Leads Home | 5-star | Great |
| Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat | 4-star | Great |
| Before the Tutorial Mission Starts | 4-star | Good |
| Solitary Healing (F2P) | 5-star | Good |
For her 4-star and F2p options, Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat is the best 4-star Light Cone for Dahlia. For more options, you can also use Before the Tutorial Mission Starts or Solitary Healing.
HSR The Dahlia Build Best Relics
The Dahlia’s best Relic is going to be the Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge. This is currently the best Break Effect Relic set in the game, making it the easiest pick for her. You can also use Thief of Shooting Meteor instead, but it will be much less effective.
| Name | Value |
|---|---|
| Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge | Best |
| Thief of Shooting Meteor | Great |
| 2-piece Speed Relic Combo (Messenger Traversing Hackerspace, Sacerdos Relieved Ordeal, or Warrior Goddess of Sun and Thunder) | Great |
Other than that, you can also use a 2-piece Speed Relic combo, as Speed is one of the main stats for Dahlia.
HSR The Dahlia Build: Best Planar Ornaments
When it comes to Planar Ornaments, the best you can use on the Dahlia is the Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern. This ornament increases Speed and increases Break Effect of characters when attacking enemies with Fire weakness. As enemies will always have Fire weakness against the Dahlia, it makes this Planar Ornament a clear favorite.
| Name | Value |
|---|---|
| Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern | Best |
| Talia: Kingdom of Banditry | Great |
| Sprightly Vonwacq | Good |
However, you can also go for Talia: Kingdom of Banditry or Sprightly Vonwacq if you don’t have a good Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern set.
Recommended Relic Stats for The Dahlia
The highest priority stat for The Dahlia is her Speed. Try to get anywhere between 134 and 160 on Speed for her. However, you should target reaching a higher level of 160 or more if possible. Next, get at least 180% Break Effect on her, which shouldn’t be that difficult.
| Stat | Recommended Value |
|---|---|
| Speed | 160+ |
| Break Effect | 180% |
Other than that, build ATK% to scale her damage output or HP% to make her tank more damage.
Best The Dahlia Teams in Honkai Star Rail
The Dahlia’s best teams will always be Break teams in Honkai Star Rail. However, she can also work for some teams outside of the Break meta. Let’s find out about them.
The Dahlia Break Teams
When it comes to Break teams, Firefly has the best synergy with Dahlia. However, Rappa and Boothill are also good options. For supports, you can use between Fugue, Harmony MC, and Ruan Mei, depending on who you have. Finally, for sustains, there is only Lingsha and Gallagher if you want to stack more Break DMG. If you only want sustain, then any good healer or shielder in the game will work.
| DPS | Support | Support | Sustain / Support |
|---|---|---|---|
| Firefly | The Dahlia | Fugue/Harmony MC/Ruan Mei | Harmony MC/ Lingsha/Gallagher |
| Rappa | The Dahlia | Fugue/Harmony MC/Ruan Mei | Lingsha/Gallagher |
| Boothill | The Dahlia | Fugue/Harmony MC/Ruan Mei | Lingsha/Gallagher |
| Hunt March 7th | The Dahlia | Fugue/Harmony MC/Ruan Mei | Lingsha/Gallagher |
For players who don’t have a Break DPS, you can build Hunt March 7th with Break stats to deal quite a lot of damage with Dahlia in the team.
The Dahlia Non-Break Teams
Although it is not recommended to use The Dahlia on any teams other than Break DMG dealers, she can still be viable for some teams. Her follow-up attacks can be useful for Feixiao teams, and if you build Feixiao with some Break Effect, she can also deal a ton of Break DMG with her Ultimate.
| DPS | Support | Support | Sustain / Support |
|---|---|---|---|
| Feixiao | The Dahlia | Robin | Lingsha |
Other than that, she can basically support any Hypercarry DPS units if you build them with Break Effect stats.

Honkai Star Rail (HSR) The Dahlia Kit

The Dahlia’s kit is extremely good for Break teams and will revive the Break meta. Constance “The Dahlia” will enable players to deal Super Break DMG without actually needing to break the enemies. This will make Break Teams viable again against the current bosses, who have incredibly high max HP. She is also going to synergize with Firefly’s kit, having a special effect that only benefits her for now. Here is the full Dahlia kit explanation.
HSR The Dahlia Kit Explained
Here is a quick explanation of The Dahlia’s kit in Honkai Star Rail. If you want to learn about her exact traces and eidolons, then check the next section.
- Dance Partners: Dahlia marks herself and another character as Dance partners. When the Dance partner attacks a weakness broken enemy, the toughness reduction DMG is converted to Super Break DMG. Also, when the Dance Partner attacks, Dalia performs a Follow-Up attack, hitting enemies at random.
- Weakness Implementation: Dahlia can implement the weakness type of her Dance Partner’s element on enemies when using her Ultimate.
- Buffs: Dahlia’s skill deploys a Zone that increases Weakness Break efficiency of all characters. Also, this zone allows the toughness reduction to be converted into Super Break DMG, even while the enemies are not weakness broken. Her passive also increases the Break Effect of all allies based on her Break Effect stat. Other than that, when an ally applies a Weakness on an enemy, their Speed is increased.
- Debuffs: Dahlia’s Ultimate reduces the DEF of all enemies and applies the Weakness of the Dance Partners on them.
- Special Firefly Synergy: When a character applies the Fire Weakness on an enemy, the character regenerates 10% of their Energy, capped at 50% of their Max Energy. This currently only benefits Firefly, allowing her to enter her Combution state faster in fights.
HSR The Dahlia Traces and Eidolons
- Basic Attack:
- Deals Fire DMG equal to 100% of The Dahlia’s ATK to one designated enemy target.
- Skill:
- Deploys a Zone that lasts for 3 turns, with the Zone’s duration decreasing by 1 at the start of The Dahlia’s turn. Then, deals Fire DMG equal to 160% of The Dahlia’s ATK to one designated enemy and their adjacent targets.
- While the Zone is active, increases all allies’ Weakness Break Efficiency by 50%. Toughness Reduction taken by enemy targets while not Weakness Broken can be converted into Super Break DMG.
- Ultimate:
- Inflicts “Wilt” state on all enemies, lasting for 4 turns. Then, deals Fire DMG equal to 300% of The Dahlia’s ATK, which is distributed across all enemies.
- Reduces DEF of enemy targets in the “Wilt” state by 18% and applies Weakness of all “Dance Partners'” Types to enemy targets.
- Talent:
- When entering combat, The Dahlia regenerates 35 Energy and grants “Dance Partner” to this unit and the teammate who triggered combat. Whenever there is no other “Dance Partner” on the field, grants “Dance Partners” to this unit and the teammate with the highest Break Effect. After a “Dance Partner” attacks a Weakness Broken enemy target, the Toughness Reduction from this attack is converted into 1 instance of Super Break DMG at 60%.
- After an enemy target is attacked by the other “Dance Partner,” The Dahlia launches a Follow-Up ATK, dealing 5 instances of DMG, each dealing Fire DMG equal to 30% of The Dahlia’s ATK to one random enemy. After each instance of DMG dealt to a Weakness Broken enemy target, the Toughness Reduction from this DMG is converted into 1 instance of Super Break DMG at 200%.
- This effect can only trigger once per turn. If the target is defeated before the Follow-Up ATK is used, it will be launched at one random enemy instead.
- Technique:
- After using Technique, creates a Special Dimension that lasts for 20 seconds. Enemies within this dimension will not actively attack ally targets. After entering combat with enemies in the Special Dimension, The Dahlia immediately deploys her Skill’s Zone, and converts the combat-triggering Toughness Reduction into 1 instance of Super Break DMG at 60% against enemy targets that are Weakness Broken.
- Only 1 Dimension Effect created by allies can exist at the same time.
- Stat Boosts:
- Break Effect: 37.3%
- Effect RES: 18%
- Speed: 5
- Ascension Abilities
- Yet Another Funeral: When entering combat, increases other characters’ Break Effect equal to 24% of The Dahlia’s Break Effect plus 50% for 1 turn. This effect triggers again lasting 3 turns, when The Dahlia receives healing or a Shield from a teammate, but cannot be triggered repeatedly within a single turn.
- Lament, Lost Soul: When using Talent’s Follow-Up ATK, recovers 1 Skill Point for allies. This effect can be triggered once for every 2 Talent’s Follow-Up ATKs used.
- Outgrow the Old, Espouse the New: When an ally target adds Weakness to an enemy target, increases SPD by 30% for 2 turns. If an ally Fire character implants a Weakness when using an attack, deals 20 fixed amount of Fire Toughness Reduction after the attack for every target with Weakness implanted. Also, regenerates Energy equal to 10% of Max Energy. The maximum amount of Energy regenerated through this effect is capped at 50% of Max Energy.
- Eidolons:
- E1: Applies Talent’s Super Break DMG multiplier provided to “Dance Partner” to all ally characters, with “Dance Partner” additionally receiving a 40% boost. After “Dance Partner” uses an attack, deals an additional fixed amount of Toughness Reduction equal to 25% of the enemy target’s Max Toughness (minimum of 10 points, up to 300 points). This effect can only trigger once per enemy target, and the trigger count for each target resets after the enemy target receives a killing blow.
- E2: When The Dahlia is on the field, decreases all enemies’ All-Type RES by 20%. When an enemy target enters the field, immediately inflicts “Wilt” state on them, lasting for 3 turns.
- E3: Increases Ultimate level by 2 and Basic Attack level by 1.
- E4: Increases the instances of DMG dealt by Talent’s Follow-Up ATK by 5, and every hit increases the target’s DMG taken by 12%, lasting for 2 turns.
- E5: Increases Skill level by 2 and Talent level by 2.
- E6: Increases “Dance Partner’s” Break Effect by 150%. When using her Talent’s Follow-Up ATK, advances the next action of all “Dance Partners” by 20%.

Who Is Constance “The Dahlia” in Honkai Star Rail
Constance is one of the daughters of Duke Ifrit Inferno and likely the second in command of the Everflame Mansion Family. She first made an appearance in the Myriad Celestial Trailer — A Night of Ever-Flame: Scene 33, where Duke Inferno proudly proclaimed that they were going to bring destruction to Penacony.
In the trailer, Duke Inferno calls Constance his most ambitious and exceptional child and tells her to “leave not but the Remembrance tomb“, which can be assumed as a task to destroy the Memokeepers or the Garden of Recollection. However, we later learn that Acheron put Annihilation Gang’s plans in Penacony to a stop by killing Duke Inferno before they could enter Penacony during the Penacony Trailblazing arc.
This entails that Duke Inferno trusts Constance the most among his children, and she is likely going to lead the Ever-Flame Mansion in the future, as we now know that Ifrit has indeed died. Constance is also known as “The Dahlia” which is also the flower shown in the trailer during her introduction.
During the Trailblazing missions, Black Swan delved into the memories of Duke Inferno at the time of his confrontation with Acheron. However, she failed to get any memory related to Acheron, as if they never existed. That’s when Constance made an appearance for the first time in the story, although not in the flesh, and connected Black Swan with Boothill.
