Anaxa is another ridiculously strong character in Honkai Star Rail that can make you strong against any enemy in the game. He can apply all weaknesses on enemies, making him perfect for players lacking DPS units for all weakness types. Here is Anaxa’s best build if you are planning to pull him in Honkai Star Rail.

  • Relic: Scholar Lost in Erudition (4-piece)
  • Planar Ornament: Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm
  • Main Stats: Crit Rate (Body), Speed (Boots), Wind Damage Boost% (Sphere), ERR% (Link Rope)
  • Light Cone: Life Should Be Cast to Flames (5-star), The Great Cosmic Enterprise (4-star)
  • Team: The Herta, Anaxa, Tribbie, Lingsha

If you want more build variety, check out the following sections. I have provided multiple alternatives to Anaxa’s best relics, ornaments, stats, light cones and teams below.

HSR Anaxa Build: Best Relics

Scholar Lost in Erudition is the best relic for Anaxa in Honkai Star Rail. It increases the wearer’s Crit Rate and additionally increases the damage dealt by their Skill and Ultimate. As Anaxa scales on Crit Rate, this set is perfect for him.

Pioneer Diver of Deep Waters is another good alternative. This set increases the damage taken by enemies based on the number of debuffs on them. The wearer gets increased Crit Damage based on the number of debuffs on enemies, making it perfect for Anaxa as his kit applies new weaknesses on enemies, which are considered a debuff.

Eagle of Twilight Line is always a good set for fast characters, as it action forwards the wearer by 25% after they use their Ultimate. Other than that, this set also increases Wind damage of the wearer, making it a decent relic option for Anaxa.

HSR Anaxa Build: Best Planar Ornaments

  • Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm
  • Rutilant Arena
  • Firmament Frontline: Glamoth

Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm is the best planar ornament for Anaxa. This planar ornament is perfect for characters who require other characters from same path in the team, increasing the wearer’s Crit Rate based on it. So, with other Erudition characters in the team, this planar ornament will increase Anaxa’s Crit Rate by 12%, while also increasing his Attack by 12% from the get-go.

Rutilant Arena is another great planar ornament alternative for characters who like Crit Rate. This planar ornament also increases Skill damage, making it really good for Anaxa if you have good sub-stats on them.

Other than that, for those that like zero-cycling or want to build a ridiculously fast Anaxa, Firmament Frontline: Glamoth planar ornament is a clear favorite.

Anaxa Build: Main and Sub Stats for Relics

  • Body: Crit Rate%
  • Boots: Speed
  • Planar Sphere: Wind Damage Boost%
  • Link Rope: ERR%
  • Sub-stats: Crit Rate (100%) > Crit Damage (above 160%) > Speed (161) > Attack%

Anaxa scales on Crit Rate, so the first priority should be to reach 100% Crit Rate on him in total. After you have achieved that, try to reach at least 160% Crit Damage. Now, Anaxa is best build with Speed, so try to reach 161 Speed to reach the speed breakpoint. Finally, dump everything else on Attack%.

Best Light Cones for Anaxa Build in HSR

  • Life Should Be Cast to Flames
  • Into the Unreachable Veil
  • The Great Cosmic Enterprise
  • The Day The Cosmos Fell
  • Geniuses’ Repose

Anaxa has some decent Light Cone options in Honkai Star Rail. Life Should Be Cast to Flames is the best Light Cone for Anaxa, and it is also his signature Light Cone. We have added its info later in the article so check it out if you want to learn more.

The Herta’s signature Light Cone — Into the Unreachable Veil, is also a good 5-star alternative for Anaxa. For 4-star options, the new Light Cone ‘The Great Cosmic Enterprise’ is a clear favorite, but you can also use The Day The Cosmos Fell. Other than that, Geniuses’ Repose is a decent Light Cone option for Anaxa, but it should only be used as a last option if you don’t have the other mentioned Light Cones.

Best Anaxa Teams in Honkai Star Rail

  • The Herta Hypercarry: The Herta, Anaxa, Tribbie, Lingsha
  • Argenti Hypercarry: Argenti, Anaxa, Tribbie/Tingyun/Sunday, Huohuo
  • Anaxa Hypercarry: Anaxa, Jade, Sunday/Robin/Bronya, Huohuo
  • F2P: Anaxa, Asta, Serval, Gallagher

Anaxa is the new best Support for Erudition teams as his Trace passive buffs allies from the Path of Erudition. He can be a great addition to The Herta and Argenti teams, which are the two best Erudition teams currently in the game. Other than that, you can also use Anaxa as a DPS hypercarry instead, pairing him with Jade, an action forwarding support, and Huohuo as sustain for extra energy.

But Anaxa can help any team in Honkai Star Rail using his weakness adding mechanic. You can use Anaxa as dual DPS for any team for extra damage and to apply weaknesses on enemies.

Honkai Star Rail Anaxa Drip Marketing

The Drip Marketing reveals Anaxa’s full name — Anaxagoras and mentions that he is one of the Seven Sages of the Grove of Epiphany and founder of Nousporists. Anaxa’s Drip Marketing also hints at a strict no-nonsense personality. Anaxa apparently has two rules for everyone — first is to not call him Anaxa and second is to never interrupt him, both of which will likely be broken into pieces once he meets the Trailblazer.

The Grove of Epiphany, where knowledge flourishes and philosophers are born. Yet here stands Anaxagoras the blasphemer, the Chrysos Heir who challenges the Coreflame of Reason: Would you truly embrace infamy and defy prophecy, driving the thorns of doubt into the Sacred Tree of wisdom? — “Ridiculous. In a world full of lies, I am the only truth.”

The Drip Marketing also reveals that Anaxa is after the Coreflame of Reason, and that his divine authority is of Cerces and Bough of Rift. Although this is the first official information we have learned about Anaxa after the Amphoreus trailer, he appears to be an extremely complicated and interesting character.

Honkai Star Rail (HSR) Anaxa Kit

Anaxa kit has been revealed and it allows him to apply weakness on enemies, similar to Silverwolf. Here are all the information on Anaxa’s kit in HSR:

  • Basic Attack (Pain, Brews Truth): Deals single target Wind Damage equal to 100% of Anaxa’s Attack.
  • Skill (Fractal, Exiles Fallacy): Deals Wind Damage to a single target equal to 80% of Anaxa’s Attack and then deals 4 additional instances of damage. Each additional damage instance deals 80% of Anaxa’s Attack as Wind Damage to a random single enemy, prioritizing targets that were not hit by this attack. For each enemy target available to be attacked on the battlefield when the Skill is used, increases Damage dealt by this Skill’s usage by 20%.
  • Ultimate (Sprouting Life Sculpts Earth): Inflicts the “Sublimation” status on all enemies lasting until the start of each target’s turn with a 100% fixed chance and immediately deals AoE Wind Damage equal to 200% of Anaxa’s Attack. The Sublimation state inflicts the targets with Physical, Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wind, Quantum, and Imaginary weaknesses simultaneously, and if the target doesn’t have Control Resistance, they are unable to take action in this state.
  • Talent (Tetrad Wisdom Reigns Thrice): Each time Anaxa attacks enemy targets, he inflicts one random Type Weakness to the targets for 3 turns, prioritizing Weakness Types that the target is yet to have. When Anaxa is on the field, he inflicts the “Qualitative Disclosure” state to the enemy targets with at least 5 different Type Weaknesses. Additionally, Anaxa deals 30% more damage to targets in the “Qualitative Disclosure” state. In addition, using a Basic Attack or Skill on targets inflicted by the Exposed Nature state allows Anaxa to use another one instance of his Skill. This additional Skill does not consume any Skill Point and cannot be triggered again. If the target has been defeated before the additional skill is used, it will be dealt to a random enemy unit.
  • Technique (Pupil of Prism): Sends the enemies within a set area into the Terrified state. Enemies in this state will flee in a direction away from Anaxa for 10 seconds. When entering battle against enemies in this state by attacking, it will always be considered as entering battle via attacking a weakness. After entering battle, Anaxa will apply 1 Weakness of the Attacker’s Damage type to every enemy target after entering battle, lasting for 3 turns.
  • Trace 1 (Roaming Signifier): When using Basic Attack, additionally regenerates 10 energy. If there are no enemy targets in Qualitative Disclosure state at the start of the turn, Anaxa regenerates 30 energy.
  • Trace 2 (Imperative Hiatus): Based on the number of characters on the path of Erudition in the team, Anaxa triggers the following effects in the current battle: (One) Increases Anaxa’s Crit Damage by 140%, (more) Increases damage dealt by all allies by 40%.
  • Trace 3 (Qualitative Shift): For every different Weakness Type an enemy target has, the Damage that Anaxa deals to that target ignores 4% of Defense up to a maximum of 7 Weakness types.
  • Trace Stat Boosts: 22.4% Wind Damage Boost, 10% HP Boost, 12% Crit Rate Boost

Anaxa’s kit in Honkai Star Rail is very unique. Anaxa can apply weaknesses on enemies while dealing increased damage based on the number of weaknesses applied on them. Anaxa will completely replace Silver Wolf, as she can only add weakness on one enemy at a time.

As Anaxa is also an Erudition character, this means he will be the second support-oriented Erudition character since Jade and will become a good pair for The Herta teams.
