Raul Bautista is one of the most mysterious GTA 6 characters. From what we have seen, he seems friendly but has an antagonistic vibe, similar to Dutch in Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2. Plus, he’s wearing Lance Vance’s iconic colors from GTA Vice City in some promotional material. So who is this charming man? Here’s what we know about Raul Bautista in GTA 6.
GTA 6 Raul Bautista Overview
According to Rockstar Games, Raul Bautista is a veteran bank robber in GTA 6 who’s always looking for recruits to pull off the riskiest yet most rewarding heists.
The GTA 6 issue of Love Magazine reveals that Raul will mentor Jason and Lucia, sharing the knowledge and experience they need to pull off major heists in the story.

As revealed, Rockstar intended Bautista to embody Vice City and to have the criminal knowledge our inexperienced dual protagonists Jason and Lucia lack when they first set foot in Vice City in GTA 6.
In GTA 6’s Extended Look on Netflix, Raul turns to Jason and Lucia while fleeing the police, testing their ability to evade authorities and teaching them to leave without a trace. After that, Bautista asks them to keep in touch, implying they may be part of his crew.
Rockstar Games describes him as “reckless” in his official character biography, and we have already seen Raul pulling off a heist with the protagonists while fending off authorities, particularly in GTA 6 trailer 2. However, it remains unclear whether this is the same “easy score” that goes wrong, as mentioned in GTA 6’s story synopsis.
As for his voice actor, fans suspect Dominican actor Manny Perez is voicing Raul Bautista in GTA 6. But, again, take this with a grain of salt, as the developer remains mum about its voice actors, even sending NDAs to actors to keep their roles secret until the GTA 6 release date – November 19, 2026.
Is Raul Bautista Playable in GTA 6?
Raul Bautista is not playable in GTA 6.
Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos are the only playable characters. However, he will be a prominent side character, guiding both through the life of crime and teaching them the ways. That doesn’t rule out the possibility of him becoming playable later in the game, much like Arthur Morgan and John Marston in RDR 2.

Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson revealed that during development, the team once considered four playable characters in GTA 6. But the studio ultimately scrapped it in favor of a Bonnie-and-Clyde duo, as the team felt four protagonists would dilute the time spent with them and, in turn, weaken players’ connection.
This revelation hasn’t stopped some fans from theorizing that GTA 6 will feature a third playable character similar to GTA 5, and it will be none other than Raul Bautista. One of the most popular theories is the “Three Birds Theory,” which points out that every GTA 6 promotional poster features three birds, either flying or sitting somewhere around Jason and Lucia.
However, Rockstar hasn’t confirmed anything about Raul Bautista as a playable character, but he’ll have a significant impact on the game’s narrative. That said, what do you think of Raul Bautista so far in GTA 6? Tell us in the comments section below.
