Genshin Impact Varesa Drip Marketing

Varesa’s Drip Marketing have finally been revealed by Genshin Impact and it reveals that she is Iansan’s disciple from the Collective of the Plenty clan. She is a lucha-libre styled wrestler who acts as a little kid on a field trip otherwise, while becoming a fierce warrior when fighting the Abyss monsters.
“My most unusual pupil, Varesa… nobody pulls off laid-back like she does. No matter where she goes, she acts like a little kid on a field trip — all she wants to do is try the local delicacies, then find a cozy spot to camp and sleep. But should you ever face the Abyss’s monsters alongside her, look out. Once she dons her mask, her rush tactics can be… somewhat aggressive.”
— Iansan
She is also mentioned as an Orchard Owner from the Collective of Plenty and we will likely learn more about her story during the Abyss invasion of Collective of the Plenty revealed in the Natlan archon quest.

Genshin Impact Varesa Leaked Kit
Varesa in Genshin Impact has a DPS-focused kit that deals increased Plunging damage. She also gains Nightsoul points upon using her Plunging Attack. Here is everything you need to know about Varesa’s leaked kit.
Varesa’s Normal Attack — By the Horns
- Normal Attack: Varesa can launch up to 3 strikes, dealing Electro damage.
- Charged Attack: Her charged attack consumes a certain amount of stamina to headbutt enemies in front, dealing Nightsoul-aligned Electro Damage and leaping into the air.
- Plunging Attack: Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing Nightsoul-aligned AoE Electro damage upon impact. If Varesa is in a combat state upon landing, or if the shockwave from her plunging attack hits an opponent, she will gain 25 Nightsoul points. She enters the Fiery Passion state upon reaching maximum Nightsoul points through this method.
Varesa’s Enhanced Normal Attack State — Fiery Passion
In this state, the normal, charged, and plunging attack of Varesa is buffed in the following ways:
- Fiery Passion Normal Attack: Launches up to 3 fierce strikes, dealing increased Electro damage.
- Fiery Passion Charged Attack: Her charged attack consumes a certain amount of stamina to headbutt enemies in front, dealing increased Nightsoul-aligned Electro Damage and leaping into the air.
- Fiery Passion Plunging Attack: Consumes all her Nightsoul points and slams down on the ground from mid-air, dealing damage to opponents in her path and dealing greater amounts of Nightsoul-aligned AoE Electro damage upon hitting the ground.
Varesa’s Elemental Skill — Riding the Night-Rainbow
Varesa rushes forward a certain distance, dealing Nightsoul-aligned Electro Damage to opponents in her path. She also gains 20 Nightsoul points after using her Skill and gains the Follow-Up Strike effect.
- Follow-Up Strike: Varesa has increased interruption resistance during this time, and upon pressing her Normal Attack, she will quickly unleash a Charged Attack that does not consume Stamina. “Follow-Up Strike” will be canceled after using a Charged Attack. She will use different techniques based on whether you Tap or Hold.
- Tap Skill Button: Varesa quickly rushes a certain distance forward.
- Hold Skill Button: She enters the Nightsoul’s Blessing state and switches to Sudden Onrush mode.
- Sudden Onrush: Increases Varesa’s Movement Speed and interruption resistance. She can use terrain to execute flying leaps or consume additional Nightsoul points to traverse atop water or liquid Phlogiston while remaining immune to Damage from the latter. She continuously consumes Nightsoul points in this state.
- Nightsoul’s Blessing — Varesa: Her Nightsoul Blessing state is canceled when she runs out of Nightsoul points. When Varesa enters the Fiery Passion state, her Elemental Skill cooldown will be reset and its damage will be increased. This state has two charges.
- Fiery Passion: Varesa can gain Nightsoul points by using Plunging Attacks when not in the Fiery Passion state. She enters this state after reaching maximum Nightsoul points via this method, or when she uses her Elemental Burst.
Varesa’s Elemental Burst — A Dazzling Decent!
Varesa leaps into the air and unleashes a powerful flying kick while dropping, dealing Nightsoul-aligned AoE Electro damage to opponents. After using her burst, she regains maximum Nightsoul points and enters the Fiery Passion station. In the Fiery Passion state, her Elemental Burst will deal a greater amount of Nightsoul-aligned AoE Electro Damage. Additionally, she will briefly activate Apex Drive after using a Plunging Attack while in her Fiery Passion state.
- Apex Drive: Increases Varesa’s interruption resistance. While affected by Apex Drive, Varesa can ignore her Elemental Burst Cooldown and consume less Energy to use her special Elemental Burst, “Dazzling Descent: Volcanic Collapse”.
- Dazzling Descent: Volcanic Collapse: This causes her to use the especially powerful Plunging Attack, the “Thunderous Tornado Eruption,” to hit opponents in the path of her plunge and deal Nightsoul-aligned AoE Electro Damage upon landing. This Damage is considered Plunging Attack Damage.
Varesa Passives in Genshin Impact
- Passive 1 (Night Realm’s Gift: A Torch That Incinerates Evil): After Nightsoul points have been fully depleted, Varesa will switch to using Phlogiston to maintain the Sudden Onrush mode from her Nightsoul’s Blessing. While in an area with Phlogiston Mechanics within Natlan, Nightsoul Transmission: Varesa can be used. When the current active character is sprinting or in movement modes caused by certain Talents, or at a certain height in the air, switching to Varesa will trigger the following: Varesa enters the Nightsoul’s Blessing state, switches to Sudden Onrush mode, and obtains 20 Nightsoul points. Nightsoul Transmission can be triggered once every 10s by your own party.
- Passive 2 (Tag-Team Triple Jump!): After using the Elemental Skill, Varesa gains “Rainbow Crash” for 5 seconds. During this time, when Varesa uses a Plunging Attack, the shockwave damage dealt when she hits the ground is increased by 25%. If Varesa is in the Fiery Passion state, this ground impact damage is increased by 50% instead. The Rainbow Crash effect will be canceled once a ground impact hits an opponent, or when its duration expires.
- Passive 3 (The Hero Twice-Returned): When a nearby party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst, Varesa’s Attack increases by 30% for 12 seconds, stacking for a maximum of 2 stacks. Each stack’s duration is counted independently.
- Passive 4 (Blazing Heart, Singular Advance): Increases Varesa’s Sprint speed. When not in combat, her Sprint Stamina consumption will also increase. Additionally, while in an area with Phlogiston Mechanics within Natlan, your party members will restore 20 Phlogiston when consuming food. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds and does not take effect in Domains, Trounce Domains, or the Spiral Abyss.
