Gen V Season 2 has been dodging the questions surrounding Dean Cipher’s powers for the past 3 episodes. Due to this, multiple theories surfaced that pointed towards what his powers could actually be, but as it turns out, a few people got it right while the others didn’t. So, now that we know what powers Dean Cipher has in Gen V Season 2, here’s everything you should know about what we got to see.
What Are Dean Cipher’s Powers in Gen V?
Gen V Season 2 just aired its 4th episode, and after understandable differences, Cate has finally made her way into Marie’s group in their fight against Dean Cipher. After what Jordan did at the speech, admitting that they were the ones who attacked Cate, Vought did what they do best. They tried to cover it up, giving it the name of propaganda and getting Cate to say that Jordan did not attack her.
Now, since the students of Godolkin hate Jordan because they think Jordan lied, Dean Cipher comes up with a plan to orchestrate an official UFC-like fight between Marie and Jordan. On the other hand, Cate and Jordan joined forces to infiltrate Dean Cipher’s house while Marie was being trained by Cipher. During the training, Marie found out that his blood does not contain Compound V, and the group tried to use it as leverage against Cipher to stop the fight.
Things were going well until he point where Cate confronted Cipher for being a human, and this is when we get to see Cipher use his powers. Jordan would not fight Marie in the ring and Cipher, using his abilities, gained complete control of them, bending Jordan to his will to make them fight Marie.
This tells us Cipher has the power to control and manipulate others like a puppet in Gen V, rendering him incredibly dangerous. Now the big question is, if Cipher does not have any Compound V in his blood, how does he have powers? As of now, we do not have an answer to that, but maybe in the upcoming episodes, we will.
