In Short
  • There are a total of 9 Fortnite Gem Sprite variants in Chapter 7 Season 3.
  • Players can find the Gem Sprites in Fortnite by searching Rare/Relic Chests, Sprite Chests, and Vaults.
  • The Fortnite Gem Sprites apply a fall damage reduction of 30% to the base Sprite power.

Fortnite has added a new Sprite variant called the Gem Sprite on the August 6 New Sprite Day. The Gem Sprites look shiny and resemble diamonds, hinting that they may be rarer than other Sprites. That said, here is everything you need to know about Gem Sprites in Fortnite, their powers, and where to find them.

All Fortnite Gem Sprites and Their Powers

There are only 9 Fortnite Gem Sprite variants available in Chapter 7 Season 3. It would seem that, much like Holofoil Sprites in Fortnite, Epic Games is keeping them limited when it comes to variants. Here is a list of all the Gem Sprite variants you can find in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3:

  • Gem Water Sprite
  • Gem Earth Sprite
  • Gem Duck Sprite
  • Gem Demon Sprite
  • Gem Punk Sprite
  • Gem Zero Point Sprite
  • Gem Aura Sprite
  • Gem Grim Sprite
  • Gem Llama Sprite

Coming to their special buff, the Gem Sprites in Fortnite reduce fall damage by 30%. This is a great passive buff, but it sort of falls short of being useful in a Battle Royale match. Given that most players would use the Air Sprite in Fortnite to completely negate fall damage, the Gem Sprite in Fortnite falls quite short when it comes to utility.

Nevertheless, we suppose the act of finding some of the aforementioned rarest Sprites in Fortnite will be its own reward. That said, we feel the special buff could have been something more creative. We truly do not see players running off a cliff with a Gem Sprite in Fortnite to reduce their fall damage.
