The lesser demons lurking around the island conceal their true power beneath a mask. Once defeated, they will drop their masks, revealing their weakness. Harness the power of the Fire Oni Mask to unleash fiery projectiles, or the Void Oni Mask to teleport across the battlefield and gain the upper hand.

The Fortnite Hunters season introduces new weapon Expertise Quests. By completing combat quests like damaging or eliminating players with specific weapons, you’ll earn XP and unlock the ability to purchase Legendary versions of those weapons from in-game characters.

Sprites and Boons Will Help You in Combat

Sprites, the embodiment of the Island’s restored magic, are endearing and helpful creatures. You can find them on the Island roaming freely. Once you interact, they will provide unique powers:

  • Air Sprites create updraft whirls capable of propelling players with gliders and inflicting structural damage.
  • Hurl a Water Sprite to summon a fountain that heals, replenishing health and shielding nearby players.
  • Offer an item to the Earth Sprite and expect a valuable reward in return.

The Sprites are more than the temporary buffs. Discover and reactivate forgotten Sprite Shrines by offering a Sprite. As a reward, receive a powerful Boon. Boons, which can be obtained from defeated bosses or found in Chests, provide unique abilities that persist even after you are eliminated.

Here are all the Boons you can get in Fortnite Chapter 6 and their powers:

  • Fire Boon – Reload your weapons faster.
  • Void Boon – Eliminating players reveals other players nearby.
  • Wind Boon – Move faster while your Pickaxe is equipped.
  • Water Boon – Swimming grants Health and Shields to yourself and nearby swimming squadmates.

In terms of gameplay, there are more than just guns, vehicles, or sprites and boons in Fortnite’s next season. Chapter 6 is set to revolutionize the Fortnite movement with the addition of Ledge Jump, Roll Landing, Wall Kick, and Wall Scramble. These groundbreaking features will be implemented across all game modes, from Battle Royale to Creator Islands.

  • Ledge Jump: You can now elevate your parkour with a Ledge Jump! As you sprint towards a ledge, time your jump perfectly to launch yourself farther than ever before. The added momentum and height will unlock previously unreachable areas.
  • Roll Landing: Don’t let gravity slow you down after you land on the ground! Fortnite Chapter 6 introduces Roll Landing, a gravity-defying trick that lets you roll your way out of a fall and regain energy.
  • Wall Kick: The next Fortnite season also introduces a highly demanding feature called Wall Kick. Similar to how wall jumps in any game work, you can execute a Wall Kick by colliding with a vertical surface in mid-air. Chain your kicks properly to outsmart enemies and create fun plays.
  • Wall Scramble: If you don’t want to Wall Kick by jumping on a vertical surface, there is an alternative to it. You can perform the Wall Scramble to mantle onto ledges automatically with this new movement tech.

Edit Your Build Easily with Simple Edit

If you are just like me and avoid the builder players, Epic Games shares some good news. Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 patch notes revealed a new system called Simple Edit. This new setting simplifies the building process, allowing you to edit structures with a single button press. The system automatically selects the right tiles, eliminating the need for complex manual editing.

While experienced builders may have more advanced editing options, Simple Edit is a great way to learn the basics and quickly build impressive structures. Epic Games also shared that they will gather data and feedback on this feature to make adjustments in the future.
