Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 has brought back the medallion system, but getting them requires you to take on some of the toughest bosses on the island. If you also find yourself struggling, then this one’s for you. So keep reading as we break down what these medallions do, where to find them, and how to decide if they’re worth pursuing in your matches.

What Are Medallions in Fortnite?

Fortnite Medallions are special items that grant you powerful abilities without taking up inventory space. They’re carried by bosses, and getting your hands on one isn’t easy. If you’re still confused, consider them buffs granted by bosses.

However, what makes these new medallions particularly interesting is that carrying a medallion reveals your general location to other players on the map, marked by an orange or gold circle. As of now, there are two Fortnite Medallions, The Night Rose Medallion and The Wanderer Medallion.

The Night Rose Medallion

This medallion offers an incredibly useful automatic weapon reload feature. To obtain the Night Rose Medallion, you’ll need to defeat Night Rose in a boss fight. The battle occurs at Demon’s Dojo, located on the far right side of the map.

First, you must enter Night Rose’s circle to start the fight. She won’t take any damage until the fight is active. While fighting her, you’ll also need to watch out for her ghostly companion, Night Rose’s Shade, which will try to distract you during the battle, but from our experience, they are quite easy to deal with.

After dealing enough damage to Night Rose, you’ll need to focus on shooting the glowing red eyes of her oni puppeteer’s floating head. This cycle repeats until you defeat her and claim the medallion and her special Night Rose Veiled Precision SMG.

The Night Rose Medallion works best when you’re planning to take multiple fights. The automatic reload helps most during close-range battles where reload timing matters most.

The Wanderer Medallion

This medallion grants you two incredible powers: infinite stamina and invisibility while sprinting. These abilities can completely change how you approach combat and moving around the map. To get this medallion, you will have to defeat Shogun X.

Initially, you’ll spot Shogun X roaming randomly around the island, marked by an oni mask icon on your map. However, defeating this early version only rewards you with a mythic weapon. The real challenge begins when the fourth storm circle appears. At this point, Shogun’s Arena will materialize into floating islands.

The final boss battle with Shogun X is quite hard – and that’s an understatement. It took us various tries to bring down Shogun X in Fortnite Chapter 6. He’ll drop both the Wanderer Medallion and his Fire Oni Mask upon defeat.

The Wanderer Medallion suits both aggressive and defensive plays. You can use the invisibility to escape fights or to position yourself better before engaging. The infinite stamina lets you maintain pressure on opponents or quickly rotate across the map.

Now you know where to find both medallions in Chapter 6 Season 1, how to obtain them, and what they do. Do let us know how your journey was in the comments below.
