Wasteland Wastages: New POI

The latest Season 3 patch notes reveal new locations in the map, added through the update. Earlier, we had rumors of four old locations being removed from the map. The new locations on the map are:

  • Redline Rig: The Machinist, the Wasteland Warriors’ mechanical mastermind, operates Redline Rig, a refinery that produces Nitro. This potent fuel isn’t just for vehicles. Nitro grants an unstoppable surge of power, whether you’re behind the wheel or on foot.
  • Nitrodrome: The Nitrodrome, a whirlwind of vehicular fury, could have no other ringmaster than Ringmaster Scarr, a connoisseur of chaos and architect of annihilation.
  • Brutal Beachhead: The Wasteland Warriors call Brutal Beachhead home, and there, you’ll find Megalo Don, their musclebound leader. But tread carefully – his temper flares faster than a wasteland sandstorm.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3: New Upgrades and Vehicle Mods

As usual, with a new location and a seasonal change comes new weaponry. Tons of vehicle mods have been added with the Season 3 update in Fortnite. Here is everything you need to know:

  • Nitro Splash and Nitro Barrels: Find these tanks of explosive energy contained around the map. These containers launch away upon contact and explode when they touch the surface. The temporary boost also helps both Cars and Players. While using cars, the speed increases with minimum fuel decrease. Vehicle mods get a buff, and the car deals more damage when rammed into enemies or other structures.
  • Nitro Effect: Players get a movement and reload speed boost while gaining a bashing power that deals damage and knockback while being able to destroy buildings. This also lowers stamina consumption.
  • Nitro Fists: Equip the Nitro Fists and unleash a flurry of devastation! Pack a powerful 3-punch combo at no charge, or expend a single charge for a brutal uppercut or a dashing aerial punch. Each Nitro Fist charge replenishes every eight seconds, giving you four opportunities to destroy the enemies.
  • Machine Gun and Grenade Launcher Turret: The machine gun turret that goes on the roof slot of your vehicle. Ensure your friend is ready to wreck chaos on enemies by shooting them down using the turret on top of the vehicle. Or, swap it with a Grenade Launcher Turret and make it a fireworks show.
  • Spiked Bumper and Cow Catcher: You can equip either Spiked Bumper or Cow Catcher for the bumper slot. The Spiked Bumper is all about dealing extra damage when it impales enemies or objects. On the other hand, Cow Catcher boosts your ramming speed and grants additional vehicle armor.
  • Bulletproof Tires and Chonkers Off-Road Tires: It is important to equip your vehicle with the best tiers when drifting around the wastelands. Grab the Bulletproof Tires to never fall off the road. Well, if you want off-roading, equip the Chonkers Off-Road Tiers.

A Refreshment Awaits: New Boosters

Along with the vehicle mods and Nitro boosts, players get something extra. In the burning post-apocalyptic wasteland, grab some cold Nuka-Cola to restore a bit of Health while it replenishes the shield over time. Fallout anyone?

Moreover, the barren island is not always your enemy, so pick a Slurp Cactus and splash around you to gain health. You can also run over the cactus with your car and heal without escaping it.
