How to Get the Magic Thread in Fisch
Magic thread is mostly found using two simple methods – by fishing and by opening Treasure Chests in Fisch.
This item can be caught along with a fish at any random moment and is not specific to any region. However, in my experience of playing Fisch, I would recommend fishing in front of the entrance to the Ancient Archives at Ancient Isles or the docks of Moosewood. These are the locations where you have the highest chance of getting magic thread in Fisch.
Now that we have introduced magic thread, let’s talk about its two other variations – the Ancient Thread and the Lunar Thread. These are rarer and can be collected in a similar fashion. The chances to obtain the threads through chests are as follows:
- Magic Thread: 16%
- Ancient Thread: 9.5%
- Lunar Thread: 3%
To open a chest, you will require a Treasure map in Fisch. There is a 1/160 chance that you get a Treasure Map while fishing, the only way to obtain this item. Finally, you can get this map fixed from the Jack Marrow NPC at the Forsaken Shores and get the coordinates of a hidden Treasure chest.
How to Use the Magic Thread in Fisch
Having obtained a magic thread, you might wonder where to use it in order to craft a rod. Do not worry, since you only need to open the door to the Ancient Archives at Ancient Isles to unlock the crafting area.
Having reached the crafting area in the Ancient Archives, you can have a look at all the craftable rods by pressing the “E” key to interact with the stone anvil placed in the center.
