No matter how many new enigmas Oda introduces in his long-running series, the biggest One Piece mystery will always be “what is the One Piece treasure?” Since the One Piece series’s origin in 1997, no one has ever come close to the truth about the One Piece treasure, and only the theories keep mounting for the closely guarded secret. After decades, author Eiichiro Oda has made a surprising announcement about the secret of the One Piece treasure today.
One Piece Special Project: Oda Hides Secret Behind One Piece Treasure Under the Sea
Earlier, the One Piece series recently teased a special worldwide project. Many hoped that the special announcement was about the One Piece Season 2 live-action, which is releasing next week. However, not even in our wildest dreams did we expect to be related to the ending of the One Piece series. Today, the One Piece manga made history by reaching over 600 million copies sold worldwide with the release of volume 114.
To commemorate the new historical milestone, the One Piece staff released a video about the special project. As the video shows, the special One Piece project is that author Eiichiro Oda has written the truth about the One Piece treasure and Luffy’s dream on a piece of paper and placed it in a specially-designed treasure chest.
Now the author has gone to the lengths of burying the treasure chest holding the truth about One Piece’s ending in an unknown location at the bottom of the sea. This treasure chest will be opened only once the One Piece series ends in the future. You can watch the video of the One Piece special project here:
So, the truth about the ending of One Piece now remains sealed inside a treasure which is buried somewhere in the ocean. True to the piratey characters he has created, author Oda has now kicked off a great pirate era by revealing that he has left the treasure in one piece, like Gol D. Roger. Now, people go on a treasure hunt to discover the chest that holds the truth about the One Piece’s ending.
With Oda teasing the ending of One Piece in the most brilliant way possible, is this a sign that we will reach the ending soon? We never know! But this promotional event has cranked up the excitement among the One Piece fandom.
