- Magick Archer is one of the late-game vocations in Dragon's Dogma 2 that you can unlock.
- To trigger the mission and unlock this vocation, you must travel southeast of Bakbattahl toward the Volcanic Islands.
- After completing the 'Put a Spring in Thy Step' escort mission, the Magick Archer Maister will give you the Magick Archer vocation and the Spellbow's Paradox.
If you’re knee-deep into Dragon’s Dogma 2, then you must have already started to go through all the vocations in the game. Besides all the early game vocations in Dragon’s Dogma 2, there are a lot of advanced ones that are much stronger. However, unlocking the advanced vocations is naturally harder. Unlike the Trickster, the Magick Archer is one of the hardest classes to get. But don’t worry, as we won’t let you journey to the scariest parts of the region alone. With that said, follow this guide to learn how to unlock the Magick Archer vocation (class) in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Get Magick Archer Vocation in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Note: In the middle of reaching the location below, you will encounter the Drabnir’s Grotto. It is a maze mine location and a bit confusing. However, if you just stay in the middle lane you can easily cross this place. Do note, that the area will be overflowing with high-level enemies.
Before we head over to get the Magick Archer vocation, there are some things we must do. For starters, we recommend you reach at least level 30, as the path ahead is dangerous. Furthermore, before reaching the Magick Archer Maister Cliodhna, keep three herbs with you, as they will be required later. We recommend the Greenwarish, as they can be found easily.
You will also have to cross the border to enter Battahl first. Once you have unlocked the Battahl region, proceed towards the Backbattahl region on the south and follow the steps below:
- After unlocking Bakbattahl, travel to the south-eastern part of the map and locate the Volcanic Islands. Once there, cross the road towards the Magick Archer Maister’s house.
- Gautstafr, the Maister’s dwarf husband, will arrive and require three herbs from you. Give him the herbs to be invited inside.
- You must now complete the “Put a Spring in Thy Step” mission and take the husband to a hot spring nearby. Be prepared to fight some enemies along the way.
- Once you finish the mission, Cliodhna will appear and reward you with the Magick Archer vocation (class) and the Spellbow’s Paradox.
Should You Unlock Magick Archer in Dragon’s Dogma 2?
Magick Archer is another hybrid vocation (class) in Dragon’s Dogma, similar to the Mystic Spearhand. However, the Magick Archer in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is an all-in-one fighter. It combines the deadly precision of an Archer with the explosive magic of Mages and Sorcerers.
They can unleash devastating ranged attacks, often leaving enemies in ruins. But Magick Archers are more than damage dealers. They also boast a toolbox of support skills, letting them heal allies from afar and even revive them in the heat of battle.
So, it is up to you whether you want it unlocked or not. As you cannot assign hybrid vocations to your Pawns in the game, it is up to your playstyle. Keep in mind that a Magick Archer can run out of stamina pretty fast.
That is how you unlock the Magick Archer class in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Still can’t get it? Ask your questions in the comments down below!
