Yes, Sofia is a DC Comic character who first appeared in the Long Halloween series of Batman, which ran from 1996 to 1997. The character was created by Jeff Loeb, who once confessed that Sofia’s inspiration was taken from 1972’s The Godfather’s Sonny Corleone.
Sofia Falcone was seen helping her father to unveil the identity of the Holiday Killer, who was later revealed to be her own brother, Alberto. This was the first time we saw Sofia in the DC Comics. Later, she reappeared in Dark Victory, in which a new serial killer was targeting the police in Gotham City. Sofia is a complex character and much more interesting than her brother. She’s a stone-cold killer who enjoys inflicting pain. Of course, Sofia didn’t get as much highlight as other villains like Penguin or Riddler, but that’ll certainly change after the Penguin TV show. The character has already captivated the audience in the first episode, and hopefully, her character arc will only go uphill when the story progresses.
