Daredevil Born Again not only brought back one of the most beloved characters in Marvel, but also revived the now-fading love towards Marvel TV shows. This series introduced us to new characters, brought back familiar faces, and most of all, gave us a story to remember and to look forward to with the next season. Daredevil Born Again ended with its ninth episode and featured a rather interesting post-credits scene with The Punisher. So, without further ado, let me explain everything that we saw in the Daredevil Born Again Episode 9’s post-credit scene.
What Happened in Daredevil: Born Again’s Post-Credit Scene?
By the end of episode 9, we see that Frank aka The Punisher went to the Red Hook port on his own after finding out that the Anti-Vigilante Task Force is stationed there. Even though he went alone, he was able to take down several bad cops, but was eventually outgunned and outnumbered, leading him to be captured. In the final scenes of Daredevil: Born Again, we see that Fisk has captured everyone who was against him and has put them in cages at the Red Hook port, and The Punisher was also locked up in one such cage.
In the post-credit scene of Daredevil: Born Again Episode 9, we see that Punisher is still locked up in his cage and starts making conversation with the cop guarding him. He finds out that both of them are from Jersey, and, appearing rather friendly, he offers to shake hands with the cop.
Being a fanboy of The Punisher, the cop moves in to shake hands, and as soon as The Punisher gets hold of the cop’s hand, he pulled him in and broke his arm to get the key to the cage and as the screen blacks out, we hear the door of the cage opening up.
The post-credit scene of Daredevil: Born Again Episode 9 shows us that the Punisher has escaped from Red Hook. The story it will lead towards will probably be seen in the upcoming Punisher special or will be directly addressed in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, which has been renewed already.
