There is no doubt that Dandadan is the frontrunner in the best next-gen shonen series. The creepy expeditions of Momo Ayase and Okarun feature many main characters who assist the duo in battling against vengeful ghosts, monsters, and aliens. Thus, if you are curious about which of your favorite seiyuu, aka voice actors, is behind the voice of Momo, Okarun, Aira, etc., find the complete list of Dandadan main characters and their respective voice actors in our guide here.
Spoilers Warning:
This article includes minor spoilers for the main characters of Dandadan. Proceed with caution.
1. Okarun by Natsuki Hanae

Ken Takakura, who goes by Okarun (the nickname given by Momo), is an introvert and a stronger believer in UFOs and extraterrestrials. In a quest to find his lost kintama, he leads the series as one of the main characters of Dandadan alongside Momo Ayase.
You must have probably wondered why Okarun’s voice sounds so familiar to you. Well, you are not wrong, as Natsuki Hanae, who has voiced popular anime characters, has portrayed the role of Okarun in Dandadan. Natsuki has played Tanjiro in Demon Slayer, Ken Kaneki in Tokyo Ghoul, Kosei Arima in Your Lie in April, and many more.
2. Momo Ayase by Shion Wakayama

Momo Ayase is the female lead of Dandadan, a true believer in spirits and ghosts as opposed to Okarun. She awakened her dormant psychic powers while helping Okarun get back his lost kintama. Momo continues to be the star of the Dandadan series alongside her pair, Okarun.
Shion Wakayama was chosen to lend her voice to Momo Ayase, and it turned out to be one of the best moments in her career. Shion taking on the role of Momo Ayase was a breakthrough moment for her, as she has become a fan-favorite voice actor in the industry. Shion’s previous works include Takina Inoue in Lycoris Recoil, Destiny in Takt op. Destiny, Shizuka Nanohoshi in Mushoku Tensei.
3. Seiko Ayase by Nana Mizuki

While most of the shonen titles feature parents of the MC as the supporting figures, Dandadan twists this trope by adding Momo Ayase’s grandmother to its series. Seiko Ayase, aka Santa Dodoria, is a renowned shaman who backs up Momo and Ayase in their spooky adventures.
You would be completely mindblown when you find out who has been playing Momo’s grandma in Dandadan. It’s none other than Nana Mizuki who played the iconic character Hinata in Naruto. Can’t believe this fact, right? I reacted the same way. Nana Mizuki is also famous for the following roles: Moka Akashiya in Rosario to Vampire, Fate Testarossa in the Mahou Shojo series, etc
4. Turbo Granny by Mayumi Tanaka

Next up, we have a yokai in our list, the infamous Turbo Granny, who terrorized the people living within a tunnel. However, when Okarun’s attempt to disprove Momo went wrong, Turbo Granny’s powers were transferred to our hero, and her spirit got stuck inside a Maneki-neko doll. Though she started out as an adversary, she soon became the supporting sidekick of Momo and Okarun.
If you have been watching anime for a long time, you wouldn’t have had a hard time figuring out Turbo Granny’s voice actor. Mayumi Tanaka, the legendary voice actor who voices Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece, Kuririn in the Dragon Ball series, and Nobita in Doraemon, became a yokai in Dandadan.
5. Aira Shiratori by Ayane Sakura

Every shonen series set in a high school setting has a popular figure of the school, and Aira Shiratori steps into that role here in Dandadan. Aira may have made a bad impression on her debut, but she soon became a fan-favorite after getting established as one of the main characters of the Dandadan series.
Ayane Sakura is the voice behind Aira’s character in Dandadan. Before getting the role of Aira Shiratori, Ayane voiced many popular characters such as Ochako Uraraka in MHA, Nao Tomori in Charlotte, Yostuba in Quintessential Quintuplets, Gabi Braun in AOT, Tsubaki in Your Lie in April, and more.
6. Jin Enjoji by Kaito Ishikawa

Jin Enjoji, Momo’s childhood crush and friend, joined as a new main character at the end of the first season. While Jin sought the help of his nakama to exorcise the evil eye spirit, he eventually ended up as the vessel of the evil eye and served as an antagonist during the Evil Eye arc. Fortunately, Okarun struck a deal with the evil eye to prevent him from harming other people.
Kaito Ishikawa, who has played fan-favorite characters such as Sakuta from Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, Tobio Kageyama, and Naofumi from The Rising of the Shield Hero, plays the role of Jin in Dandadan. On the other hand, the kid version of Jin was played by Mokoto Koichi, who is known for her roles as Sadou in The Devil is a Part-Timer!, Kei Uomi in Shangri-La Frontier, etc.
7. Kinta Sakata by Daichi Fujiwara

With the Evil Eye arc ending peacefully in the anime, the Kaiju arc is being covered right now in the final episodes of Dandadan season 2. The new arc also introduces us to Kinta Sakata, who is the latest addition to the ever-growing list of Dandadan’s main characters. Kinta also studies at Kami High along with Momo and Okarun, and their lives get intertwined during the Kaiju incident.
An interesting fact about Kinta’s voice actor is that the anime staff coincidentally hired Daichi Fujiwara, a voice actor who looks identical to Kinta’s character design. Daichi has only appeared as minor characters in two anime series so far, namely as Prince Mochihito in The Heike Story and Houyo in TsumaSho. Therefore, we expect the role of Kinta Sakata to be the turning point in Daichi’s voice acting career.
8. Rin Sawaki

Before Kinta Sakata’s debut, another main character who studies at Kami High quietly made her debut in the Dandadan series. You may not have noticed, but Rin Sawaki, the class representative of Okarun’s class, will soon join Momo and Okarun’s gang in the Dandadan series.
Since she has appeared in only one frame and there was no voiceover in the scene, we haven’t met Rin’s voice actress yet in the anime. Therefore, stay tuned, and we will update this section after the cast is officially announced.
