All Crimson Desert Mount Types and How To Obtain Them
Crimson Desert has some of the most diverse mounts I have seen in this genre, and they all hold special abilities. Here are all the Crimson Desert mount types and how to obtain them.
Dragon/Wyvern Mounts

| Name | How to Obtain |
|---|---|
| Blackstar Dragon | Complete Chapter 11. |
Wyverns or dragons are among the few flying combat mounts in Crimson Desert. Not only can you use Wyverns to cover great distances by flying, but they can also burn down entire battlefields by breathing fire and other devastating abilities. Wyverns are mid-to-end game mounts, and getting them will take a lot of time and effort. You can learn all about it in our guide on how to get the dragon mount in Crimson Desert.
Domesticated Mounts
| Name | How to Obtain |
|---|---|
| Camels | Can be found in Crimson Desert. Steal them from NPCs. |
| Buffalo | Steal them and use the ride option when near them. |
| Cow | Steal them and use the ride option when near them. |
Many of the domesticated animals can also be used as temporary mounts in Crimson Desert. These include cow, buffalo, and camel. We have a separate section for horses, so we haven’t added them here.
Bear Mounts

| Name | How to Obtain |
|---|---|
| Clawed Bear | Can be captured from the Black Bear faction stronghold. |
| Brown Bear | Tamed in the wild. |
| White Bear | Defeat it at Five Finger Mountain and use the White Bear Claws to craft Sigil of Solidarity at any Witch NPC. |
Bears appear big and strong, with massive HP pools and a good amount of damage output. They are your best companions for ground fights. The bear mounts in Crimson Desert can fight on their own when around you, and mounting it also unlocks hidden move sets, like long slashes and bite attacks. They have a low speed, so they are not the best for exploring the Crimson Desert map.
Horse Mounts

| Name | How to Obtain |
|---|---|
| Royler | Snowgrass Hearth Campsite in the Silver Mounts of Pailune. Look for the lake just under the letter ‘P’ of Pailune on the map. |
| Rokade | Northwest of the Steel Mountains in Grace Estate. Can be found near the Spire of Insight beside a lake. |
| Camora | Can be found in the southern area of Crimson Desert, in the Redtree Forest near the Red River. |
| Herspia | Unlocks at the start of the game. |
| Priden | Can be tamed in the wild, purchased from stables, or stolen from NPCs. |
| Brianto | The default horse of Damiane that unlocks with her. |
| Elantrima | Can be tamed in the wild, purchased from stables, or stolen from NPCs. |
| Numont | Can be tamed in the wild, purchased from stables, or stolen from NPCs. |
Horses are the first mounts players will get in Crimson Desert. Horses are one of the most efficient land mounts for covering great distances. Players can engage in mounted combat on horses, shoot arrows, or swing their swords from atop the creature. However, the only attack the horse can do is a back kick. The horses can also be used to participate in races.
Raptor and Lizard Mounts

| Name | How to Obtain |
|---|---|
| Red Feathered Raptor | Can be found in the Crimson Desert. Defeat their riders to ride them temporarily. |
| Iguana | Can be found in the Crimson Desert. |
| Giant Iguana | Can be found in the Crimson Desert. |
Raptors are reptilian creatures that are very quick and have a decent damage-dealing capability. Most of the raptors in the game have high speed and decent stamina, and they have movement-related special abilities.
Lizards are one of the slower mounts in the game, but they offer a ton of traversing capability for the desert biome.
Mechanical Mounts

| Name | How to Obtain |
|---|---|
| Firm Wagon | Can be stolen from NPCs or crafted by upgrading the camp. |
| Cloudcart | Can be crafted after discovering the Emberwind Workshop. |
| A.T.A.G | Complete Chapter 10. |
| Delesyia Train | Not a personal mount, but can be ridden in Delesyia. |
| Kuku Rocket Pack | TBD |
| Marnis Mecahorse | TBD |
When it comes to overpowered mounts, none come close to mechs. Crimson Desert has showcased a dwarven mech that is mountable, and it can run on land, fly, and shoot missiles. Yes, the Dwarven Mech is easily the strongest mount and one of the best Crimson Desert weapons in the game. It can destroy entire groups of enemies alone, by shooting bullets, cutting down close-range enemies, and shooting missiles. Fortunately, this mount is only unlockable in the end-game content, making it the perfect utility to test out the wildest shenanigans in Pywel.
Other Wild Mounts

| Name | How to Obtain |
|---|---|
| Rock Tusk Warthog | Defeat Ravok of the Savage Fangs in the Southern region of Tashkalp near the Red River, east of Demeniss. Use the Warthog tusk to craft the Sigil of Solidarity at any Witch NPC. |
| Icy Mountain Goat | TBD |
| Snowwhite Deer | Defeat the Snowwhite at Silverwolf Mountain in Pailune and use the Antlers to craft the Sigil of Solidarity at any Witch NPC. |
| Silver Fang | Defeat the Black Fang, which will spawn Silver Fang in your camp. Defeat Silver Fang and use its fang to craft the Sigil of Solidarity at any Witch NPC. |
| Icicle Edge Alpine Ibex | Defeat the Mistwood Huntmaster at Wayword Woods of Pailune and use its horn to craft the Sigil of Solidarity at any Witch NPC. |
| Lion | Can be stolen from the Laughing Marionette circus. |
| Elephant | TBD |
The game also has many other jungle mounts that offer very unique abilities. Some of these mounts are Legendary, so make sure to tame them to get an upper hand on your enemies.
How to Tame Mounts in Crimson Desert
Taming mounts is an essential mechanic for obtaining mounts in Crimson Desert. To tame a mount, you will have to ride it and use the arrow keys to move in the opposite direction from the mount’s movement. Some mounts require specific taming skills before you can obtain them. Other than that, some mounts can only be obtained after defeating them or completing quests.

So, these are all the mounts in Crimson Desert. Which mount do you like the most in the game? Let us know in the comments below.
