Call of Duty Warzone Havoc Royale Mode Explained

The popular Havoc multiplayer mode, last seen in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, is now coming to Warzone with the release of the Season 4 Reloaded update. Titled Havoc Royale, the LTM will bring its chaotic format to Verdansk POIs along with a set of frantic modifiers to spice up the gameplay. If you are unfamiliar with the mode and keen on learning about it, here’s everything to know about the Warzone Havoc Royale LTM.

Warzone Season 4 Reloaded Havoc Royale Explained

The Warzone Havoc Royale LTM is a 44-player game mode that drops Operators into specific areas of Verdansk. These include: Downtown, Airport, and Train Station. Players will land with their loadouts already equipped, meaning they can go on the offensive almost immediately. The gas circle remains a factor, and each time the circle coalesces, a new gameplay modifier kicks in.

As for the Buy Station, a majority of Killstreaks will not be available, but there’s still plenty of helpful gear on offer:

  • Squad Buyback
  • Armor Plates
  • Gasmask
  • Door Barricade
  • Munitions Box
  • Redeploy Drone
  • Hand Cannon
  • UAV

A single match of Havoc Royale will see the circle collapse six times. On each occasion, a new gameplay modifier will be activated at random. During the final circle of the match, a special ‘Finale Modifier’ will kick in, which switches up the last combat encounter in some interesting ways. Check out all the Havoc modifiers in Warzone Season 4 Reloaded below:

ModifierDescription
Charge Jump– Perform super-human leaps and reach previously unimaginable distances.
– Holding the jump button before a Charge Jump offers higher leaping, and your velocity dictates how horizontal your jump will be.
Cranked– Outlines of enemy players periodically flash red, and Operators have a HUD indicating the locations of nearby foes.
– When active, players will also have Tracker footsteps, quicker weapon switching, armor plate insertions, and reloads.
– A timer on the screen dictates the seconds left until your character explodes. Open a cache to increase your time or defeat an enemy to fully refresh the timer.
Crouch Potato– When crouched, Operators transform into a sack of potatoes.
– Movement and jumping are still possible, and health as well as armor slowly regenerate while crouched.
Eye See You– All Operators always have an Advanced UAV active for them, as well as googly eyes.
Melon Heads– Operators appear with watermelon heads; an impressive watermelon-based explosion if hit.
– Damage to the body is reduced, and damage to the head is multiplied.
Make it Rain– More ammo and cash become available, to such an extent that you won’t need to reload as bullets are removed from your reserves rather than your chamber or magazine.
– A Fire Sale also kicks off when this modifier is active.
Unregulated Airspace– The airspace is no longer overcrowded, allowing for more Killstreaks to be used at the same time.
– Expect more of them to be available as ground loot.
Showdown (Finale Modifier)– All Operators are given an identical Loadout to level the playing field, and nearby weapons are removed.
Rising Gas (Finale Modifier)– Following a warning, gas will begin rising vertically throughout the combat zone, forcing you to ascend to higher ground.
– Fortunately, you’re more likely to obtain Gas Masks and Personal Redeploy Drones during this modifier’s lifespan.

Havoc Royale will join the playlist once Warzone Season 4 Reloaded goes live on July 2, 2025. Are you excited to give the LTM a spin? Be sure to let us know in the comments.
