Best SMG Loadouts in Warzone Season 4 Reloaded

SMGs are the go-to class when it comes to close-quarters weapons in Warzone. These guns boast rapid fire rates, coupled with high damage output, making them the ideal choice for taking down enemies up close. On top of this, the SMGs also feature impressive mobility, allowing you to move swiftly through the map and catch your opponents off guard. If you’re wondering about the best weapons in this class, here’s our list ranking SMG loadouts for Warzone Season 4 Reloaded.

1. LC10

  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag II
  • Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip
  • Stock: Balanced Stock

Our pick for best SMG in Warzone is a toss-up between the LC10 and the Ladra. But if you’re looking for balance across all fronts, then the LC10 is the standout option. The Black Ops Cold War weapon took Verdansk by storm when it returned during Season 4, with its excellent TTK and surprisingly low recoil turning heads almost immediately. It remains the meta SMG following the mid-season update, just be sure to use the loadout mentioned above.

2. Ladra

  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag II
  • Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip

The Ladra was unleashed in Warzone following the Season 3 Reloaded update, and it wasted no time in becoming a fan favorite. The SMG’s blistering fire rate, coupled with insane close-range TTK, caused plenty of havoc in BR lobbies. In fact, there’s no other gun capable of stacking up against the Ladra when it comes to close-range combat, which immediately sets the weapon apart.

With that being said, it chews through ammo at an unsustainable rate, and its mid-range capabilities leave more to be desired. So, make sure to consider these factors while choosing between the Ladra and the LC10.

3. KSV

  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag I
  • Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip

The KSV had always been teetering on the edge of the meta since Warzone’s integration with Black Ops 6. But it properly ascended to the top following some significant buffs in Season 3. The SMG is balanced on all fronts and comes with a lot of raw power, making it a close-range beast. Beyond close-quarters engagements, the weapon manages to hold its own at medium-range battles as well, especially if you pair it with our recommended loadout.

4. C9

  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Barrel: Reinforced Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag II
  • Grip: Commando Grip

Being the spiritual successor to the classic MP5, the C9 is predictably a well-rounded SMG that excels at medium ranges. Its excellent stability and recoil make it beginner-friendly, and the weapon just feels effortless to use. However, the C9’s damage output leaves a lot to be desired, especially since Warzone is stacked with SMGs that can make mincemeat of enemies at close ranges. Despite this, it’s still one of the best guns available in the game.

5. Saug

  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag II
  • Grip: Commando Grip

First introduced in the Season 1 Reloaded update, the Saug immediately drew attention due to its remarkable close-range TTK. And thanks to recent buffs, the SMG is now part of the core meta. The Saug is tailor-made for aggressive players who enjoy closing the distance on their enemies. When it comes to these engagements, the Saug sheds through squads, especially within a 20m radius. Beyond that, however, its recoil becomes tricky to control, which is why it lands at the number three spot.

6. PPSh-41

  • Muzzle: Suppressor
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag II
  • Stock: Agility Stock

The PPSh-41 might just be the most fun SMG to use in Warzone. Its blistering fire rate chews through armor at insane speeds, and ultimately, makes for ridiculously fast TTK. The WW2-era SMG is surprisingly forgiving, too, meaning missing a few shots isn’t the end of your match. However, the PPSh-41 is held back by its recoil at longer distances, especially beyond the 20-meter mark. So, pick this gun only as a close-range finisher.

7. Kompakt 92

  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag III
  • Rear Grip: Commando Grip

The Kompakt 92 is another close-range and aggressive SMG, whose faults begin to appear beyond the 20-meter radius. For starters, its recoil can be downright horrid, and its bullet velocity isn’t up to code either. But as far as close-range weapons go, the Kompakt 92 can deal an insane amount of damage. It boasts the fastest TTK in its class up to 15 meters, which alone makes the SMG worth trying out.

8. PP-919

  • Muzzle: Suppressor
  • Barrel: Reinforced Barrel
  • Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip
  • Stock: Balanced Stock
  • Fire Mods: Recoil Springs

The PP-919, also known as the Bizon, lacks the firepower to remain competitive in BO6 multiplayer, but its qualities are a better fit for Warzone’s medium-range engagements. The SMG’s best-in-class magazine size and impressively low recoil ensure that you can easily pepper enemies at distances of up to 40-50 meters. Having 64 bullets in a single magazine is especially handy for taking down full-plated enemies, while also making the PP-919 an excellent sniper support weapon.

9. Jackal PDW

Image Credit: Activision/Warzone (screenshot by Aryan Singh, Beebom)
  • Optic: Kepler Microflex
  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Barrel: Reinforced Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag II

The Jackal PDW’s reign at the summit of the meta seemed unstoppable until its damage range was nerfed in Season 2. This resulted in the compact SMG falling down the pecking order. With that being said, it’s still a force to be reckoned with at close range, beating out the likes of the C9 and PP-919 in terms of TTK. Its recoil is still clumsy, to say the least, but our recommended loadout will help you mitigate its kick.

Best SMG for Warzone Season 4 Reloaded

The LC10 continues to stand tall as the best SMG in Warzone, in our opinion at least. Its well-rounded mix of damage, precision, and manageable recoil is simply too good to turn down. But if you want to maximise stability, the C9 is another solid contender.

That wraps our list ranking the best SMG loadouts in Warzone. Which SMG is your go-to for the BR? Let us know in the comments.
