Top 3 Shows on Paramount Plus I Highly Recommend
While the table above might have told you all you need to know, certain shows truly stand out to me in this list. The three shows mentioned here are tried, tested, and rewatched by me personally, and here is what I would recommend to my real ones.
Colin From Accounts

I’m fairly certain that each one of you has at least once watched a classic “Boy Meets Girl” movie or show, and at its surface, Colin From Accounts might appear to be one of the said shows. However, as it progresses, you would be proved wrong in some of the best ways. Sure, at its core, this show is a romantic comedy, but it’s also something that would feel like a breath of fresh air and take you back to the vibe classics like 21 Dresses or How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days had. So, if stuff like this is your jam, look no further.
Dexter

I might sound a bit biased when I say this, but trust me, ladies and gentlemen, if you have not watched Dexter yet, I would judge you a little bit regarding your taste in the media you consume. A lot of people skip Dexter because they think of it as a gory, blood-soaked show about a serial killer, and that my friends, is a serious oversimplification.
Sure, Dexter has blood and gore, but it operates on a much deeper emotional level that, quite frankly, no other TV show has yet been able to emulate. Dexter Morgan grows on you in a way that you start feeling an emotional connection to the character, and the credit for it goes to Michael C. Hall’s brilliance. So, if you have been skipping it, take my word, and tune in to Dexter.
Tulsa King

First off, if you are a fan of Sylvester Stallone like I am, Tulsa King is an absolute treat. This show brings you the perfect blend of comedy, action, and the undeniable charm of Sylvester. Most shows, when running for more than 1 season, start to lose the essence that made us their fans, but in the case of this show, it stays strong in every season we have seen so far, and the story holds tight in each of them. So, if crime dramas interest you, but you also enjoy a good, wholesome, and funny watch, Tulsa King might just be what you have been looking for

Lawmen: Bass Reeves is easily one of the best true story adaptation shows on Paramount Plus. This show revolves around the true story of Bass Reeves, who was born into slavery in the town of Arkansas. His owner forced him to fight in the American Civil War for the Confederate Army, and later on, as the tale goes, over a game of cards, he beat his owner to a pulp and ran away to his freedom. As he grew up, he became the first black man to wear the badge of a US Marshall West of the Mississippi and carried out hundreds of arrests through a successful career.

If you are a fan of survival, thriller, and psychological dramas, Yellowjackets is a series that will give you a taste of all three of these genres. This series takes place in the year 1996 when a girls’ soccer team became the victim of a plane crash. The surviving girls find themselves stranded deep in the wilderness and have to do whatever it takes to survive.
However, the girls were trapped for almost 19 months, and in the course of that time, some dark and unimaginable things happened which come back 25 years later to haunt the surviving girls and disrupt the lives they had made for themselves.

Bringing one of the most successful games to life, Halo aired on Paramount+ in 2022. This series takes place in the year 2552 and centers around John-117, AKA Masterchief, a genetically engineered super-soldier created by the UNSC (United Nations Space Command). He is a leading figure in humanity’s fight against a faction of alien species known as the Covenant.
The series shows us that after Masterchief and his squad defeat an elite Covenant scouting party on the planet Madrigal, they discover a relic that can change the course of the human-Covenant war that has been waging for years, and it seems as if Masterchief is the key to all of this. The series is a visual extravaganza and is probably one of the most expensive shows created by Paramount, with a budget of over $90 million.
Colin From Accounts

- Release Date: December 1, 2022- Present
- IMDb/Rotten Tomato Rating: 9.0/100%
- Director: Harriet Dyer, Patrick Brammall

If you are a fan of heartwarming romantic comedies, Colin From Accounts is a show that you should not miss out on. This show brings us the story of medical student Ashley and microbrewer Gordon, who move in together after they accidentally injure a dog and will have to take care of it.
This series is the perfect blend of comedy, romance, and drama, and if you think I’m overhyping the show, Colin From Accounts has scored a 100 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes and has an 8.1 IMDb rating. So if you’re looking for something to watch, give this one a shot.
Tulsa King

- Release Date: November 13, 2022 – Present
- IMDb/Rotten Tomato Rating: 7.9/88%
- Director: Taylor Sheridan
- Cast: Sylvester Stallone, Andrea Savage, Martin Starr
Tulsa King brings in Sylvester Stallone in the role of Dwight “The General” Manfred, who used to be a mafia boss in New York. However, after he was released from a 25-year prison sentence, he found that he had no influence left and was exiled by his boss to Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Once there, Dwight slowly starts building a crew of his own, and the whole show revolves around him employing people and using them to rebuild his criminal empire. This series does have a rather dark tone, but it also has its rather comical moments, which makes this series a must-watch for you.
The Offer

- IMDb/Rotten Tomato Rating: 8.6/57%
- Director: Michael Tolkin, Nikki Toscano
- Cast: Miles Teller, Matthew Goode, Dan Fogler, Burn Gorman
I’m pretty sure that almost all of us, if not watched, have heard about a movie named ” The Godfather”. This movie is often considered to be the greatest movie of all time, and it did not just earn this title but was a fruit of the efforts made by producer Albert S. Ruddy to make the Godfather dream come to life.
This movie gives you the whole tale of what went into making this movie and how much controversy and hardships the creators went through to create The Godfather. In my opinion, if you are a fan of that franchise, this show is something you should not miss out on.
SEAL Team

- Release Date: November 1, 2021 – October 6, 2024

Seal Team revolves around an elite unit of Navy SEALs who carry out dangerous missions whenever they are asked to. However, even though they are always ready whenever duty calls them, this life of theirs takes a toll on their lives and families. This series revolves around them carrying out missions that seem impossible, but they also pay the price for this in their personal lives.
Seal Team is not just another military drama, but has a unique note to it. Over 70 percent of the crew working on this show are veterans, with former Navy SEALs Mark Semos and Kenny Sheard taking charge of the writer’s room.
Dexter

- IMDb/Rotten Tomato Rating: 8.6/71%
- Director: Clyde Phillips, Chip Johannessen, Scott Buck
- Cast: Michael C. Hall, Julie Benz, Jennifer Carpenter, Erik King
Dexter is a show that might not be for everyone’s taste since it includes a lot of gore. This series revolves around Dexter Morgan, who developed psychotic tendencies after watching his mother being brutally murdered in front of him. His adoptive father, Miami police officer Harry Morgan, recognized this and, fearing he would turn out to be a criminal, taught him to hunt to divert Dexter’s violent tendencies, instilling in him the fact that he should never kill something or someone who does not deserve it.
Dexter grows up to become a blood spatter analyst at Miami Metro Police, but while he spends his day solving crimes, he spends his nights committing them by brutally murdering people who have committed heinous crimes and have escaped justice by law. This series is quite long, but it will keep you hooked till the very end.
Evil

- Release Date: June 20, 2021 – August 22, 2024
- IMDb/Rotten Tomato Rating: 7.7/97%
- Director: Robert King, Michelle King
- Cast: Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, Aasif Mandvi, Kurt Fuller
Evil revolves around a clinical psychologist named Kristen Bouchard, who does not believe in the concept of God and Demons. However, she is soon approached by a priest in training named David Acosta. He wants her to help him with investigating supernatural events, especially demonic possessions, to know if it is a possession or if the person has a mental disorder.
The plot of this series might not sound very out of the box, but if you are someone who enjoys paranormal investigation, this series will turn out to be an absolute treat.
