Pokemon TCG Pocket Mega Venusaur EX Deck Strategy
The Mega Venusaur EX deck has 10 Pokemon cards, like most Grass-type decks. During Turn one, try to have a Petilil in your active spot. Your aim should be getting a Petilil and evolving it into a Lilligant, so that your entire team gets a +20 HP buff. Lilligant also deals decent damage with its 2-energy-cost move. With two Lilligants, your entire team will get +40 HP, and your Mega Venusaur EX will have a total of 280 HP, almost making it unkillable.
While your Lilligant is active, make sure to stack energy on your Bulbassaur or Ivysaur. The new Quick-Grow Extract card is very important in this deck. If you are struggling to evolve your Pokemon into Mega Venusaur, then use it on them. This will draw out the Pokemon card you needed to evolve into.
The deck has enough card-drawing capacity, with Copycat, Poke Ball, and Professor’s Research cards. We have added a Leaf Cape for extra HP, and Cyrus to snipe your opponent’s key Pokemon. You can even use your Lilligant to counter Pom-Pom Oricorio, just make sure you have at least one saved.
Mega Venasaur EX is a very interesting card to play with, and almost unkillable as it has the most amount of HP in the game. Once the setup is done, your opponents are bound to rage-quit the game. Mega Venusaur EX’s Critical Bloom move makes your opponent’s active Pokemon Poisoned or Asleep. This means they’ll always have to switch in and out. However, you need to be cautious of the Mega Charizard Y EX deck or the Mega Blaziken EX deck. Both of them are fire-type decks and are the top threats to the Mega Venasaur EX deck.
That’s everything about the Mega Venusaur EX deck. Feel free to share your experience about this deck in the comments below.
