Every Original JJK Character Confirmed Dead in JJK Modulo
First off, we are starting with all the JJK characters who are confirmed to be dead in Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo:
Megumi Fushiguro

Megumi has suffered the most after being taken over by Sukuna in JJK. With Yuji and Nobara reappearing in Modulo, we were excited to meet a happier old man, Megumi. But all our dreams have been shattered, as Megumi is confirmed to be dead in JJK: Modulo.
Nobara wondered if only Megumi was here with them during a conversation with Yuji, which indirectly revealed Megumi’s status. So, Megumi must have passed away at some point before the story of Modulo kicks off.
Yuta Okkotsu

Having survived the final battle against Kenjaku and Sukuna, Yuta continued to live a happy life, marrying Maki. Together, they had a son and their grandchildren, Tsurugi and Yuka, later becomes the protagonists of Modulo. Yuta’s life began to crumble when his wife Maki passed away. Struggling with grief, Yuta soon passed away in the year 2080 to join his wife in the afterlife.
Maki Zenin

Maki Zenin led a happy life with her partner, Yuta, following the events of the JJK series. But she was also trapped in grief about having to lose her twin sister, Mai, to gain power. Maki was the first to pass away due to old age in 2079. Prior to her death, Maki trained her grandson, Tsurugi, with all her heart, as he was also born with Heavenly Restriction.
Hana Kurusu

Without the angel, Hana Kursu, we would have never been able to free Gojo from the Prison Realm. Hana Kurusu survived the final war, but she couldn’t continue to remain alive as she is confirmed to have already passed in JJK: Modulo.
The truth came to light when Nobara told the sorcerers’ association that she hadn’t seen Yuji ever since the funeral of Hana Kurusu. Hana was shipped with Megumi, but we will never get to see if they ever became a couple, as both are now confirmed to be dead.
Mei Mei

Mei Mei, who was already in her 30s during the events of the main JJK series, is now dead in JJK: Modulo since the spin-off takes place nearly 70 years later. When her younger brother Ui Ui reappeared, it pretty much sealed her fate. What’s more strange is that Ui Ui appears to have taken over the body of his beloved sister, which further hints at Mei Mei’s death in the JJK series.
Every Original JJK Character Who Is Alive in JJK Modulo
Now that we have learned about all the original JJK characters who are dead in Modulo, let’s take a look at the characters who are still going strong even at old age:
Yuji Itadori

Yuji Itadori, the posterboy of the Jujutsu Kaisen series, makes a return and plays a vital role in the JJK: Modulo series. He is in his 80s, but he doesn’t look like one, as his lifespan has been extended by his body’s nature. Yuji is now the strongest sorcerer of this era, the glorious successor to Gojo Satoru in JJK: Modulo.
Nobara Kugisaki

When the Jujutsu Sorcerer’s association HQ comes knocking at Nobara’s door while investigating Yuji’s current whereabouts, it is confirmed that she is still alive in JJK: Modulo. Nobara is also in her 80s, and Yuji later seeks her help in rebuilding the world operating without cursed energy. It was Nobara who mentioned Yuji’s near-immortality for the first time in JJK: Modulo.
Aoi Todo

Since investigating Nobara Kugisaki didn’t yield any fruitful results, Nobara herself asked the sorcerer’s HQ to contact Aoi Todo to figure out the current location of Yuji. So, Nobara once again confirmed the status of another JJK character, but this time it’s Aoi Todo, who seems to be kicking in his 80s as well. We never got to see Aoi Todo in JJK Modulo, but Yuji also seeks the help of his brother in guarding the world at the end.
Panda

Ex-Principal Masamichi Yaga’s cursed creation, Panda, remains alive during the events of Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo. He only appears in the penultimate chapter of the series when Yuji Itadori goes to the Gojo clan’s secret vault and picks him up. So, it is good to see yet another fan-favorite JJK character on screen in the Modulo series, and it seems Panda will lend a hand to Yuji’s future plans.
Ui Ui

Ui Ui, the oddball younger brother of Mei Mei, made an unexpected appearance at the beginning of the battle between Yuka and Dabura. To be honest, it was a bit creepy to witness his return as Ui Ui seems to have swapped bodies with his sister using his Spatial Transference cursed technique. Ui Ui is now the head of the New Shadow Style academy, and he is excited to watch violent battles once again in his life with his new children.
Mahito

Mahito is the one face we never wished to see again in JJK, but the author Gege Akutami brings the monster for a small yet significant role in JJK: Modulo. Mahito isn’t quite alive in the real world, but he is present in the pathway of souls waiting to meet his nemesis, Yuji. Once Yuji arrives due to Maru’s technique, he gets his long-awaited rematch but gets completely obliterated by Yuji. Then, Mahito’s soul is used in the Ritual of Harmony. So one can even consider him dead now.
And that’s a wrap to our list of original JJK characters who are dead and alive in the spin-off, Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo. It was saddening to find out that characters like Megumi, Yuta, Maki, etc are no more.
But other main characters like Yuji, Nobara, and others are alive and kicking. That said, what do you think about these characters’ sudden deaths? Let us know in the comments below.
