Classes are the foundation of your character in 99 Nights in the Forest. They are not only an extra sprinkle of survivability, but they also aid your overall game experience. There are a lot of classes, and each class has a unique benefit to offer, including perks, starter items, and a lot more. In this guide, we will take a look at all 99 Nights in the Forest classes, their benefits, and how you can unlock them.

Camper Class

The Camper class is the cheapest class that you can get in 99 Nights in the Forest. This class isn’t that useful, as the perks aren’t that great.

  • Level 3 Perk: Spawn with a Stew

2. Scavenger

The Scavenger isn’t a great class either due to its poor perks and a lack of a starter item. You can see the perks yourself in the list given below:

  • Level 1 Perk: 2 sack space.
  • Level 2 Perk: Open chests 20% faster.
  • Level 3 Perk: Chance to get scrap as a bonus item from chests.

3. Base Defender

The Base Defender is a decent class if you are considering playing the round as a defensive unit. It comes with some good defensive perks that can help you protect your camp.

4. Medic

Medic is a class that solely focuses on healing and reviving in 99 Nights in the Forest. This can be an okayish option if you are playing in a lobby of 5 and your teammates rely on life support.

The Decorator class purely focuses on the aesthetics of the camp. While it may improve the game experience, we find it irrelevant to survivability, which is the main goal of 99 Nights in the Forest.

  • Level 1 Perk: Furniture trader offers +1 item per visit
  • Level 2 Perk: Furniture trader is always visible on the map when visiting
  • Level 3 Perk: Furniture is discounted by 25%

8. Support

Support Class

The Support Class is more like an upgraded version of the Medic Class. If you are looking to play as a support for your team, we recommend getting this class.

  • Level 1 Perk: Bond with another player at the start of the game, absorb some damage for the player, and deal more damage when closer together
  • Level 2 Perk: Your support eats for both of you 80/20
  • Level 3 Perk: You can see the beam to your player at any distance

9. Fisherman

The Fisherman Class in 99 Nights in the Forest is only useful for fishing and has no other benefits. If you are a dedicated angler, then this class might be for you.

  • Level 3 Perk: Fish hook onto your fishing rod faster

10. Gambler

The Gamler class, as per the name, is heavily luck-dependent. If you love making risky bets and have an addiction to gacha, then you might want to go for this class.

  • Level 1 Perk: 50/50 chance of upgrading/downgrading standard chests on opening
  • Level 2 Perk: 60/40 chance of upgrading/downgrading standard chests on opening

The Ranger is a really good class, due to its attack-based perks. This class solely focuses on Range attack using the Revolver, and can be a solid option for your early game.

  • Level 3 Perk: Start with 30 ammo

12. Lumberjack

Lumberjack Class

The Lumberjack class can be a decent choice if you are the one who is responsible for collecting wood in your team for the entire round. Otherwise, this class doesn’t have much value as there are plenty of wood and trees in the forest.

  • Level 1 Perk: 20% chance to get 1 bonus log from trees
  • Level 2 Perk: 25% chance for a double sapling drop
  • Level 3 Perk: 20% chance to get 1 or 2 bonus logs from trees

13. Zookeeper

Zookeeper Class

The Zookeeper class in 99 Nights in the Forest was added during the Taming Update. This class is based on taming animals, which you can do using any other class. The perks aren’t that useful either.

  • Level 1 Perk: Your taming whistle levels faster
  • Level 2 Perk: Feeding tamed animals restores more of their health
  • Level 3 Perk: You can tame animals faster with the flute

14. Farmer

The Farmer is another one of those classes that doesn’t have much value. Yes, it can be useful if you are in a well-strategised team, where your responsibility is gathering crops. Otherwise, naah.

If you love close-range combat, then the Brawler might be the best class for you. The perks are also impressive, boosting your close combat abilities.

The Alien class is one of the best classes for survivability. Not only does it deal a lot of damage, but it is also great at sprinting, allowing you to escape from the deer and other entities quickly.

  • Level 1 Perk: Excellent visibility at night and sprint slower when alien tech is overheating
  • Level 2 Perk: Alien tech recharges faster
  • Level 3 Perk: Sprint faster when alien tech is at full charge

17. Berserker

99 Nights in the Forest Berserker Class

Berserker is another great class for aggressive gameplay. This class is also really good, and you can consider getting it.

  • Level 1 Perk: After first death, auto-revive with low HP and hunger
  • Level 2 Perk: On reviving, receive a strength boost for a short duration
  • Level 3 Perk: Deal higher damage as your HP gets lower

18. Chef

99 Nights in the Forest Chef Class

The Chef is an upgraded version of the Cook Class. If you are into cooking, then this class is for you.

  • Level 1 Perk: Can cook new unique recipes that give players huge bonuses
  • Level 2 Perk: All cooked items are seasoned

19. Blacksmith

The Blacksmith class is actually useful, as you will be crafting items in 99 Nights in the Forest. This class not only allows you to craft a lot of items, but it also unlocks the higher-tier crafting bench without even upgrading it.

21. Fire Bandit

Just like the Poison Master, the Fire Bandit Class also deals damage over time by setting the enemies on fire. Personally, I am a huge fan of characters that can deal fire damage, and the abilities make this class one of my favourites.

  • Level 1 Perk: Start with an Infernal Crossbow and a Wildfire potion
  • Level 2 Perk: Your other tools have a chance to set enemies on fire
  • Level 3 Perk: 10% chance to get wildfire as a bonus drop from chests

22. Assassin

99 Nights in the Forest Assassin Class

The Assassin is one of the best classes in 99 Nights in the Forest, due to its sheer broken passive abilities. Not only does it deal a lot of damage, but it also has great speed. On the other hand, you get some good starter items, making it a must-have class in the game.

  • Rating: 5 star
  • Level 1 Perk: 10% sprint speed, -15% HP, and 5% chance for Throwing Knives to spawn in chests
  • Level 2 Perk: First hit on an enemy has a chance to critically strike
  • Level 3 Perk: 10% chance for Throwing Knives to spawn in chests

23. Cyborg

99 Nights in the Forest Cyborg Class

Cyborg is one of the pricy classes, which feels like an upgrade to the Alien Class. And the price of this class is quite a lot in 99 Nights in the Forest. But the perks don’t disappoint.

  • Rating: 5 star
  • Level 1 Perk: If alien tech overheats, you take damage and your armor is temporarily lowered, and excellent visibility at night
  • Level 2 Perk: Alien tech deals increased damage
  • Level 3 Perk: Kills restore some alien tech energy

24. Pyromaniac

99 Nights in the Forest Pyromaniac Class

Pyromaniac is another great class that can solo carry your game round. Why? Read the perks given below and you’ll understand.

  • Rating: 5 star
  • Level 1 Perk: Reload your flamethrower with fuel canisters and oil barrels, and food is auto-cooked on drop
  • Level 2 Perk: Fuel canisters and oil barrels restore even more fuel
  • Level 3 Perk: You move faster for every burning enemy

25. Big Game Hunter

99 Nights in the Forest Big Game Hunter Class

Big Game Hunter, as the name says, is a bigger and better version of the Hunter Class, which we discussed previously. The perks are goated, which pretty much explains why this is one of the most expensive classes.

  • Rating: 5 star
  • Level 1 Perk: Can consume animal pelts to gain permanent bonuses
  • Level 2 Perk: Higher pelt drop rate
  • Level 3 Perk: You can infinitely consume mammoth tusks to permanently gain health

How to unlock New Classes in 99 Nights in the Forest

Players can unlock new classes by purchasing them from the Daily Class Shop in the Lobby. The Daily Class Shop is located on the left side when you start the game. You can also access it by clicking the Classes button on the left side of the screen.

A random selection of 99 Nights in the Forest classes is available in the shop, which changes every 24 hours. You get a free reroll when you first start the game. Once used, you can spend 99 Robux to reroll again. Classes that are in stock can be bought using Diamonds in 99 Nights in the Forest.
