One such mystery of many has come up with the latest episode where we see that Irving makes a call via a telephone booth while being watched by Burt. Irving’s Call Could Be to Reghabi in Severance Season 2
Towards the end of episode 2, we see that Irving walks up to a phone booth and makes a call. The call goes to voice mail and he says “Okay. You’re not picking up, I get it. I want you to know my innie got the message.“ When Irving came to his outie’s life, it was pretty apparent that Irving had been investigating Lumon for quite some time.
It is possible that Irving’s outie was familiar with Reghabi, the doctor who helped Petey reintegrate in Severance Season 1 and they came up with a plan to somehow establish communication between the outie and the innie using the paintings Irving drew. The reason Reghabi might not have picked up the call is that she is on the run from Lumon for killing their Head of Security Doug Graner. However, since nothing is clear as of now, this is just a speculation.
Why Was Burt Watching Irving in Episode 2?
One of the most shocking plot twists in Severance Season 2 Episode 2 was that Irving was being watched by Burt while he made the call. The question here is how Burt knows about Irving. There are multiple possibilities for it. One is that Burt and Irving’s outie could be working together against Lumon or maybe, Burt just saw Irving outside his window and followed him out of curiosity.
