Fear Street: Prom Queen takes place in 1988, positioning it between Fear Street: Part One (1994) and Fear Street: Part Two (1978). The events of Prom Queen occur six years before the massacres of the first film and ten years after the second film. While the creators haven’t revealed that Sarah Fier will be involved in the story, we can expect the film to maintain the essence of the trilogy that shook the horror community in 2021.
Fear Street Prom Queen is indeed set in the same universe as the original Fear Street trilogy, but it is a standalone sequel that boasts fresh characters and a new undead killer who wants to kill everyone who participates in the Prom Queen competition.
