However, ever since the launch of the season, many players have been asking the same question: What does mastering a Sprite do in Fortnite? Well, the answer is more complex than you may think.

What Does Mastering a Fortnite Sprite Do?

Mastering a Sprite in Fortnite can significantly upgrade your Sprite’s buffs, unlock cosmetics, and also provide you with free rewards like XP and Sprite Dust. For owners of the Fortnite Runners Battle Pass, mastering a Sprite permanently unlocks that specific Sprite as a style for the Sprite Pod Back Bling. Once you master a Sprite, you can proudly showcase it on your back in any future match.

You can master a Sprite in Fortnite by extracting it at max level (Level 5). Reaching this milestone not only gives a boost to your Sprite’s abilities, but it also unlocks permanent account progression and exclusive cosmetics.

Apart from the cosmetics, certain Sprites will trigger gameplay rewards as soon as they hit Max Level. For starters, the Legendary Dream Sprite will reward you with a random item at every level up. However, when it hits Level 5, it will explode into a fountain of top-tier Legendary items for the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 loot pool.

Finally, mastering Sprites in Fortnite will also allow players to progress through the Sprite Mastery reward track. This reward track features different prizes, including more Portable Extractors for you to unlock and make extracting easy. Best Method to Master a Sprite in Fortnite

The fastest way to master Sprites in Fortnite is by using the teleporters that can be found all around the Chapter 7 Season 3 map. These are underground teleporters located within tunnels, with a total of 5 teleporters in the game. Here is a map of all of the teleporter locations in Chapter 7 Season 3:

All of these teleporter tunnels are filled to the brim with multiple containers, like chests and ammo boxes, throughout. For each container you open, the game rewards you with 75 points towards your Sprite Level. With so many chests in these tunnels, you can easily spend 3/4th of a match just searching containers and mastering your Sprite, especially since you can keep bouncing around the tunnels using the teleporters.

In addition to the basic containers, players can also find and use the Unstable Element item to open secret vaults, which contain Rare Chests. While these reward the same amount of points upon opening, they just add to the list of chests in the tunnels. Additionally, players might find some enemies lurking within these tunnels, too. Taking an enemy out can further reward them with 200 points towards their Sprite Level.

Finally, if you really want to speed up the Mastery process for any Sprites in your collection, log in and play on Mondays from 9 AM ET. This is when the Mastery Monday event begins each week and runs for 24 hours, awarding players double the points towards leveling up their Sprite. Once your Sprite reaches Max Level, simply extract it at an Extraction Site or using a Portable Extractor.

What Happens If I Lose My Mastered Sprite in Fortnite?

If you lose a Sprite that you have mastered in Chapter 7 Season 3, that specific Sprite will revert to level 1 from level 5. However, it will still retain its Mastered status in your Sprite collection, allowing you to focus on Mastering other Sprites. You will, however, still need to summon the Sprite using Sprite Dust if you want it back in your inventory.
