Warzone Season 4 Reloaded is en route, bringing new game modes, weapons, and much more to the game. The Season 4 update introduced a major change to Verdansk in the form of the new Overlook POI. The in-construction skyscraper was released alongside the Clash LTM and the returning FFAR 1 Assault Rifle. Now, it’s time for the mid-season to freshen things up. While the full blog post is yet to be released, we already have confirmation on some of the content coming to the game. With this in mind, here’s everything we know about Warzone Season 4 Reloaded so far.
Warzone Season 4 Reloaded Release Date (Expected)
Warzone Season 4 Reloaded is expected to release on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 9:00 AM PT (12:00 PM ET/ 5:00 PM GMT).
There are several reasons why this is likely the release date. For starters, it lines up with the typical release cadence of prior Reloaded updates, which are dropped at the halfway point of the ongoing season. In addition, seasonal updates are almost always released on the first or the last Thursday of the month.
Call of Duty Warzone Season 4 Reloaded Features
As mentioned earlier, Activision is yet to drop the official Season 4 Reloaded blog post, so the full scale of the update is currently unknown. With that being said, the developers did confirm some of the new content coming to the game:
New Weapons

- Olympia
- Pickaxe
Olympia, the classic double-barrel shotgun last seen in Black Ops 3, is set to join Warzone. Given its close-range emphasis, we can’t imagine the weapon being popular in Verdansk, but it’s certainly more suited to Rebirth Island.
The second weapon joining the game is the Pickaxe, a throwable melee weapon that can eliminate enemies with a single hit.
New Modes
Two new game modes will be added to the rotation in Warzone Season 4 Reloaded, both of which are different variations of Resurgence. The first is the returning Ranked Play Resurgence game mode, complete with a separate ranking system that you can grind to earn this season’s Ranked Play rewards.
Next up is Resurgence Casual, a less intense version of the standard mode with 44-player lobbies that are made up of real users and bots. Given how popular the casual Battle Royale mode has been among players, this appears to be a sound move on Activision’s part, making Resurgence less sweaty and more accessible to a large number of players.
New Gameplay Features
A selection of new gameplay features that also previously debuted as part of the Clash LTM will be joining Verdansk once the update arrives. Here’s an overview of the features:
- Search & Destroy Contract: After acquiring the contract, players will need to plant or defuse a bomb on a buy station to trigger a fire sale and gather high-quality loot. The contract will be made available across Battle Royale, Resurgence, and Plunder.
- Care Package Kill Streak: A throwable Kill Stream that drops a loadout-sized crate from the skies. Inside, you’ll find quality loot including rare equipment, the Specialist Perk, and more. Available across all modes.
- Door Barricade Field Upgrade: Coming to BR and BR Casual via the Care Package, the Field Upgrade lets you set up a lockable barrier to block doors.
- Hand Cannon Kill Streak: The ultimate difference-maker, the Handcannon is a powerful sidearm that is handicapped by limited ammo. Make every shot count when this Kill Streak hits Battle Royale, BR Casual, and Plunder via the Care Package.
- Loot Master Perk: Available only as Ground Loot during Resurgence and Plunder matches, the Loot Master Perk allows you to maximize your scavenging potential and gear up faster by increasing the amount of loot you find while opening caches.
While the wraps up the bulk of what you can expect to see in Warzone Season 4 Reloaded, Activision could reveal new bits of content in their official announcement. We will be sure to update this article once more details are revealed. Until then, let us know your thoughts on the upcoming update in the comments.
