Chinese smartphone giant Vivo was one of the first manufacturers to go fully bezel-less by launching the Vivo Nex packing in a pop-up selfie camera. There were rumors in the past claiming that the successor of the Vivo Nex Dual Display Edition, the Vivo Nex 3 would come with 100 percent screen-to-body ratio but the latest teaser by the brand’s product manager Li Xiang hints that there would be more bezels than we would expect.
The teaser image gives a closer look at the “Waterfall Screen” display. As it turns out, there is a noticeable amount of bezel on the top and bottom edges of the device which is evident when you take a look at the enhanced image. This teaser image might be a bit disappointing as everyone expected a more slim and futuristic device by the 100% screen-to-body-ratio rumors.
There is still no reliable information regarding how the brand has managed to equip the front camera sensor. However, it certainly won’t be in a notch and hence, we are left with either a pop-up camera or the in-display camera which could be borrowed from Oppo.
As of now, the confirmed specifications for the Vivo NEX 3 according to the teasers of Mr. Xiang are dual 5G support, NFC, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Yes, the Vivo NEX 3 will have a headphone jack, something even Samsung removed with its latest flagship Note 10. Other expected specifications include Snapdragon 855 Plus, a bigger battery, and triple rear cameras. Also, there is no official information so far regarding the launch date of the device but we expect the company to send out teasers in the coming weeks like it always does.
