The Room: Old Sins Arrives on Android; Now Available for Rs 380 on Play Store

At a time when graphically-intensive and adrenaline-pumping titles like PUBG and Fortnite are ruling the domain of mobile gaming, puzzle games don’t quite fit into the equation as they give a quite retro vibe. However, there is one franchise which has carved a niche for itself in the genre by blending mind-bending puzzles, excellent visuals and masterful storytelling; we are talking about the The Room series. Over two years after the last game in the series came out, Fireproof Games has now released the fourth edition in the acclaimed franchise, The Room: Old Sins.

The game was expected to arrive on April 19, but the studio has surprisingly released The Room: Old Sins a day earlier, and it is now available for Android and iOS devices on their respective app stores.

The sudden disappearance of an ambitious engineer and his high-society wife provokes the hunt for a precious artefact. The trail leads to the attic of their home, and the discovery of an old, peculiar dollhouse.

The latest game in ‘The Room’ series is set in the Waldegrave Manor where you are tasked with solving puzzles based on cryptic clues and obscure artefacts, to unravel the mystery hidden behind the walls.

The Room: Old Sins has been priced at $4.99 (Rs. 380) and is now available in multiple languages viz. English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Turkish and Russian.

Just in case you’ve been wondering whether shelling out that $4.99 on a mobile game is a good idea, just keep in mind that the game has a cumulative rating of 4.9-stars on the Google Play Store out of the 669 glowing reviews so far. Not only that, publications like The Verge have called it the best game in the franchise, while others have already crowned it the best mobile game of the year, which certainly says something about what the game has to offer.
