Instead, she is a TV show original character who has been introduced to add some weight to WLF‘s origin story.
The Last of Us Season 2 Episode 4 kicked off with a truck full of FEDRA soldiers, including the commanding officer, Isaac Dixon. While the soldiers make fun of the civilians by calling them “voters,” the truck is stopped by a group of civilians who show up out of nowhere. A soldier says that they must be WLF members, but before they can release fire on them, Isaac says he wants to go talk to them, but alone. However, after stepping down from the truck, Isaac asks a young soldier to join him.
Isaac approaches the woman, who calls him by his name, and after that, we see him recognizing her as well. That’s when we hear the name Hanrahan.
Apparently, Hanrahan was the leader of the WLF the first time Isaac met her. While it wasn’t shown in the series, the woman must have been Isaac’s point of contact inside the WLF. She must have been giving instructions to Isaac while he was a part of the FEDRA. Hanrahan must have asked him to prove his loyalty towards the WLF by killing his allies, and well, that’s what the man did.
Eleven years later, Isaac heads the organization instead of Hanrahan, so she is either dead in the series, or she must still be alive. If Hanrahan is, in fact, alive, she must still hold a significant position in the organization. Since she is a TV original character, we must wait for future episodes to learn what exactly happened to her within these eleven years.
