The Bleach universe is incredibly massive, flaunting incredible and diverse characters. While some characters are only there for comedic relief, there are many characters who are popular among the fandom because of their fighting ability and powers. However, when you are diving into the ocean, it’s hard to instantly differentiate the most unique fish. Similarly, there are so many strong characters in Bleach that it’s hard to know who’s the strongest of all. Well, this list will give you some clarity on who are the strongest Bleach characters.
10. Lille Barro
Yhwach never allows any weakling to be a part of his army, so if I say that Lille Barro was the first Quincy to have Yhwach’s Schrift, no one should doubt his potency. Yhwach bestowed on Lille Barro the X-Axis weapon that doesn’t release a bullet shot that can be dodged. Lille Barro can kill anyone with his X-Axis rifle, which never spares the target
Lille is an impeccable marksman whose aims never disappoint. Besides that, Lille can also dodge even the heaviest attacks with his mind-blowing reflexes. For instance, he could avoid one of the most potent attacks from Shunshui Kyoraky by flipping in the air during a battle.
In the Bleach Universe, Lille is considered Yhwach’s greatest creation, and that’s why he acquired the position of Schutzstaffel’s leader by proving his worth to the villain.
9. Jugram Haschwalth
Jugram Haschwalth is the other half of Yhwach, whom the emperor trusts the most. Besides Yhwach, he is the only one capable of distributing his powers to others in the world of Bleach.
Ichigo is the main protagonist of the animanga series and has come a long way since the beginning, but even after gaining a lot of strength, he can’t stop Jugram from destroying his Bankai in Bleach TYBW. Hence, that one event allowed fans to learn how powerful Haschwalth is and why Yhwach calls him his ‘right hand.’
The Balance Schrift makes Jugram a powerful opponent even for the most proficient beings in the universe. Also, he can swap powers with the emperor when he sleeps, so you can call Haschwalth the third eye of Yhwach.
8. Shunsui Kyoraku
Shunsui Kyoraku is one of the most potent Shinigami of Soul Society who trained under the oldest captain of Gotei 13, Yamamoto. He is well versed with almost every Shinigami combating technique and holds a next-level proficiency in Kido and Hakuda. With his solid swordsman skills, he can fight even the toughest foes on an equal footing.
After rigorous training, Kyoraku even surpassed his mentor in terms of skills and speed. Shunshui Kyoraku comes with one of the most interesting and deadly Shikais in the Bleach universe. Once activated, Kyoraku’s blade transforms into dual scimitars, bringing some children’s games to life. However, you can’t take the games lightly, as the rule clearly states if you win, you live, but if you lose, you die. Also, it’s not you who decides if you want to be a part of the game; instead, if you are near Kyoraku once the Shikai is activated, you are bound to participate in the games.
7. Kisuke Urahara
While Bleach is filled with many potent fighters, not everyone has a genius mind, and that’s where Urahara stands out in the crowd. When Urahara finds himself weak against any opponent, he uses his intellect to turn the tables on the enemy. He is also a brilliant inventor who created several tools that could help him in the battles. However, despite boasting some of the excellent skills, Urahara was exiled from Soul Society after being falsely accused.
As a member of the Soul Society, Urahara was one of the toughest combatants. He could slay anyone with his mastery of swordsmanship and other techniques, including Kido. Moreover, he also knows how to stay undetected by enemies until he wishes to reveal himself.
6. Gerard Valkyrie
Gerard Valkyrie was one of Yhwach’s assets, and he was often seen as an overconfident Sternritter who never missed a chance to look down on the Soul Reapers. He didn’t boast any extraordinary tactics, but what made him a robust soldier of Yhwach was that his basic moves never disappoint.
Moreover, Gerard came with an innate ability called ‘The Miracle‘ that could turn the desires or the thoughts of anyone around him into reality. He held a deep hatred for Shinigamis, so he was an unstoppable force against them. He was a great combatant with mind-blowing regenerative abilities. For instance, after getting split into two by Zaraki’s blade, it didn’t take too much time for Gerard to regenerate.
5. Kenpachi Zaraki
Kenpachi Zaraki is the powerful captain of the 11th division of Gotei 13 who holds monstrous abilities. In the past, he was a homeless orphan who made his way to the Soul Society. He proved his worth and gained an influential position in the spirit world. He has a lust for fighting that only gets satisfied after coming across a strong opponent.
Zaraki doesn’t like to fight someone he believes to be a weakling. That’s why, after learning about Ichigo’s arrival in Soul Society, he started chasing the orange-haired protagonist after hearing about his strength from other Shinigamis.
Kenpachi Zaraki is the epitome of pure strength, which makes him stronger than most of the Soul Reapers. Whether it’s his proficiency in swordsmanship or his strong spiritual pressure, everything makes him sit on this list of the strongest Bleach characters.
4. Ichibe Hyosube
Ichibe Hyosube is believed to be one of the strongest Soul Reapers in Bleach by his peers. He is the leader of the Zero division, who also teaches every member of the Royal Guards to respect the members of Gotei 13. Hyosube is one of the Soul Reapers who have existed in the spirit world for a long time. So, he has knowledge of everything that has happened there, and he also remembers the name of every Soul Reaper and the techniques they boast or the Zanpakuto they have been handed.
Unlike other Soul Reapers, if the enemies steal Ichibe’s powers, they become useless until they find their way back to him. Moreover, Hyosube has spent a long time in the Soul Society so he is the first one to achieve a Bankai and see his Zanpakuto getting evolved.
3. Sosuke Aizen
Sosuke Aizen is one of the most intelligent characters in Bleach. Aizen’s high intellect helped him come out even of the trickiest situations. Let’s not forget how he strategized his own death and made everyone mourn for him. He was the one to conceive the idea of Hōgyoku before Urahara.
Aizen doesn’t have to put much effort to trick someone. To manipulate his enemies, all he has to do is put on a mask and make the target do exactly as he wishes. Honestly, his personality makes him a perfect villain. Aizen is an incredible combatant who has mastery in almost every Shinigami fighting technique. Moreover, his analytical skills make him a deadly foe to his opponents.
2. Ichigo Kurosaki
Ichigo Kurosaki is one of the powerful anime protagonists who never trained under anyone. So, we can say that he is a gifted fighter with a strong will. Ichigo could see ghosts from the beginning, and that’s how he got involved in the fight between Shinigamis and the Hollows. Later, we learned that Ichigo’s source of power was his half-Soul Reaper and half-Quincy heritage. That’s also one of the reasons why Ichigo becomes so powerful without any training.
At the start of the series, Rukia was amazed to see Ichigo’s potential to sense one’s spiritual pressure with ease. Also, his ability to absorb anyone’s spiritual energy remains unmatched in the series so far.
Above all, it’s not any sort of training that Ichigo requires to become a potent Soul Reaper, but it’s his will to fight until the very end that helps him keep going.
1. Yhwach
Yhwach is the main antagonist of Bleach, and his immense powers make him one of the most ruthless anime villains. He is the creator of Quincies; every Quincy contains a part of his blood running through their veins. So, Yhwach is capable of controlling everyone with his blood, including Ichigo.
Not only does his physical prowess make him a formidable threat to opponents, but his cunning strategies also contribute heavily to his terror. For instance, his goal was to eliminate the Soul King, and in the TYBW arc, he uses Ichigo for his cause and makes him kill the Soul King.
Yhwach has been a powerful antagonist since his entry, but his powers reached new heights after he absorbed the Soul King. Do you agree with our ranking? If not, how would you reshuffle it? Will you add more characters to the list? Let us know in the comments below.
