Samsung To Launch Snapdragon 660-Powered ‘Galaxy A’ Premium Smartphone In India Soon

Fresh from a successful first half of 2018 in the premium smartphone segment in India, Samsung India is all set to launch another premium phone in the Galaxy A series.

The phone which is likely to have a dual rear cameras will be a premium device in the Rs 30,000 and above price segment, according to an IANS report. The smartphone with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, industry sources told the agency.

Another highlight of the phone will be the 6.3-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED “Infinity Display”, which is one of the best displays you can get right now. The smartphone will house 16MP+24MP dual rear set-up with “Live Focus” feature and a massive 24MP front camera.

The company will also be launching the flagship Galaxy Note 9 in India on August 22, with the phone expected to go on sale on August 24. You can already pre-order the Galaxy Note 9 from FLipkart and Samsung’s online store, which comes with its own set of perks such as the Samsung Gear Sport smartwatch for just Rs 4,999.

Samsung in May launched Galaxy A6+ smartphone for Rs 25,990 with a 6-inch 18.5:9 display. The device was powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset and backed by a 3,500mAh battery. Samsung has also launched the mid-range Galaxy J6 and J8 in the last couple of months, and managed to ship over 2 million units of the online-exclusives in a month.
