Electronics accessories maker, Portronics, has expanded its portfolio in India by launching a new smart wireless charger called Freedom 4 that also comes with an integrated digital clock and LED lamp. It also has several built-in smart safety features, including surge protection, over-voltage protection and over-heating protection. The device has an anti-skid design and is built using high-quality ABS plastic.
The Portronics Freedom 4 comes with both wireless and wired charging options. It supports Qi Wireless Charging with a maximum distance of up to 8mm and charging efficiency of 73 percent. For wired charging, one can use any USB or Type C cable supported by the phone they are using. Unfortunately, though, the device supports only up to 10W (5V/2A) charging.
In addition to being a charging pad, the Freedom 4 also functions as a digital alarm clock and a LED lamp. With the former, users can set alarms, switch between the 12hr and 24hr formats and, set the brightness of the display to be automatically adjusted based on the time of day. As for the LED lamp, the company says it emits a soft light which can be used for night reading.
The Portronics Freedom 4 weighs 150 grams and measures 14cm x 10cm x 7.5cm. It is available in black and white color options from various online and offline stores across the country. It comes with a USB Type-C cable and has a 12-month warranty. While it has an MRP of Rs. 2,999, it is currently listed on both Amazon and Flipkart for just Rs. 1,699.
