Pokemon Legends ZA ranked season 2 is almost over, and we all had our fun time in it, climbing from Rank Z to Rank A. As we started preparing for the upcoming season, Pokemon Company dropped more information about their next ranked battles.

Ranked season 3 will begin right after Ranked Season 2 ends. This will be a perfect opportunity for players to sharpen their battle skills and obtain some exclusive rewards. If you are going to participate, then we have all the information that you need.

Pokemon Legends ZA Ranked Season 3 Start and End Date

The Pokemon Legends ZA Ranked Season will be available for three weeks. We have listed the start and the end times below.

  • Start Date and Time: Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. PST
  • End Date and Time: Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 5:59 p.m. PST

All Eligible Pokemon for Season 3

All the eligible Pokemon for ranked season 3 include ones from Lumiose Pokedex No. 001–231. You can register a Pokemon of any level from Lv. 1 to Lv. 100. However, their level will automatically be set to 50 during battles. This means that if you register a level 70 Pikachu, it will be reset to level 50 during the battle. Regional forms are also allowed, but only one of the same species can be used. Mega Evolved Pokemon are also allowed.

All Pokemon Legends ZA Ranked Season 3 Rewards

There are three different types of rewards in season 3:

  • Battle rewards: These are given at the end of each battle and aren’t determined by how you performed.
  • Promotion rewards: They are given when you reach the next rank, and these can include items like Mega Shards.
  • End of the season rewards: These are given out depending on which rank you are when a season ends.

Battle Rewards

Battle rewards are given out to all the players who participated in a ranked match at the end of each battle. The reward you are given isn’t determined if you won or lost or how you performed. Here are some of the battle rewards that you can get:

  • Mega Shards
  • Pearls
  • Big Pearls
  • Heavy Balls
  • Rare Candies
  • EXP Candies

Promotion Rewards

Promotion rewards are given out when you advance to the next rank. Players who participate in season 3 ranked battles will get the following Mega Stones, after being promoted to certain ranks:

  • Chesnaughtite: Rank S (Used to Mega Evolve Chesnaught)
  • Delphoxite: Rank V (Used to Mega Evolve Delphox)
  • Greninjite: Rank Y (Used to Mega Evolve Greninja)

The Mega Stones cannot be obtained from normal gameplay, so make sure that you don’t miss out on them. If you missed the previous ranked seasons, then season 3 can be a golden opportunity to claim the Mega Stones that were rewarded in the past.

End of Season Rewards

End-of-season rewards are distributed when a season ends. The rewards you get depend on the rank you are in when a season ends. Each rank has a specified amount of rewards, and here is a list of them:

How to Claim All Ranked Rewards

Players must finish at least one match during Season 3 to be eligible for the end-of-season rewards. It doesn’t matter if they win or lose the match. To claim your in-game season 3 rewards, follow the steps given below:

  • After season 3 has ended on December 17, launch your Pokemon Legends ZA.
  • Press the X Button to open the main menu.
  • Select Link Play.
  • Select Ranked Battles to see and receive your end-of-the-season rewards.

How to Play a Ranked Match in Legends ZA

To start a ranked match in Pokemon Legends ZA, follow these steps:

  • Launch Pokemon Legends ZA on your Nintendo Switch.
  • Press the X Button to open the main menu.
  • Select Link Play.
  • Select Ranked Battles.
  • Choose “Nearby Players” for local connections or “Faraway players” for online play, which requires a Nintendo Switch Online Subscription.

In Pokemon Legends ZA ranked matches, four players face off against each other in real-time online battles. You will face players from across the world with strong teams. You need to utilize your team by moving simultaneously on a battlefield, attacking, and dodging moves.

A ranked match will be completed once you have defeated all three opponents. Once completed, you’ll earn points based on your performance, raising your rank. There are 26 ranks to climb, ranging from Z to A, which indicate your strength as a Trainer. You’ll start at Rank Z and can be promoted to Rank A.
