Pokemon GO August 2024 Events: Complete Guide

All Pokemon GO Events in August 2024

1. Adventure Week

Timings: August 2 to August 12, 10 AM – 11:59 AM local time

Adventure Week is the first event confirmed with complete details for August 2024 in Pokemon GO! In it, Cranidos, Tyrunt, and Amaura and their shiny variant will be the featured Pokemon. Furthermore, you can expect even bonuses like 2x XP from activities during the event. And yes, there will be free paid Timed Research and free Field Research Task rewards.

2. Adventure Week: Taken Over

Timings: August 8 to August 12, 12 AM – 11:59 PM local time

While details on the event are currently scant, Adventure Week: Taken Over will be the second Pokemon GO event for August 2024. You can expect more featured Pokemon and paid Timed Research, among other activities, during this event!

3. Shadow Raid Week

Timings: August 10 to August 11, 6 AM – 10 PM local time

While details on the Shadow Raid Week are minimal, you can expect to participate in a Shadow Raid-focused event, where you take down numerous featured Pokemon corrupted by the shadow. We should get a proper lineup sometime later in August 2024.

4. 2024 Pokemon World Championships & GO Battle Week: Shared Skies

Timings: August 16 to August 20, 10 AM – 8 PM local time

Another major event taking place in August 2024 in Pokemon GO is the World Championship and GO Battle Week. This event coincides with the week when the Pokemon World Championship takes place. While details are yet to be revealed, this should be a PvP-focused event, where playing PvP should net you rewards.

5. August Community Day Classic

Timings: August 18, 2024, 2 PM – 5 PM local time

August will also bring back the Community Day Classic event, which last occurred in June 2024. You can expect an old Pokemon, previously featured in a Community Day event, to return during this event. Alongside, there should be rewards like XP boosts for participating in the event.

6. Triumph Together

Timings: August 23 to August 30

As with most events revealed for the August 2024 roadmap of Pokemon GO, Triumph Together doesn’t have any information. Furthermore, there are no available times for this event. However, judging by the name, this event should feature teaming up with other players and participating in events.

7. August Community Day

Timings: August 31, 2 PM – 5 PM local time

The final event of this month is the monthly community day event, which takes place at the end of August 2024 in Pokemon GO. The feature Pokemon for this community day is Popplio. As such, expect Popplio-themed things. Furthermore, Hydro Cannon is the exclusive charge attack for this Pokemon GO event.

8. Pokemon GO August 2024: Spotlight Hours

Like every month, multiple spotlight hours will happen throughout the month. For August 2024, you can expect the following Pokemon and their shiny variant to appear in the Spotlight Hour. They are:

  • August 6: Drilbur
  • August 13: Lileep
  • August 20: Mankey
  • August 27: Magnemite

9. Pokemon GO August 2024 Raid Hours

Pokemon GO will also feature a lot of Pokemon during the August 2024 raid hours. Here are every Pokemon and their Shiny variant appearing during the event:

  • August 7: Moltres
  • August 14: Thundurus (Incarnate Forme)
  • August 21 and August 28: Xerneas
