Pixar dropped an exciting trailer for the upcoming film titled Elio a couple of days ago, and oh my god, it accumulated a massive viewership within a few hours of its release. The animated film revolves around an 11-year-old boy named Elio, who wants nothing but to find a place on Earth. He is an alien fanatic who befriends an alien named Glordon and embarks on an intergalactic adventurous journey. Yonas Kibreab as Elio Solis
Elio Solis is the main protagonist of the Pixar film. He is an 11-year-old boy who is obsessed with aliens and wants the extraterrestrial creatures to abduct him. He struggles to find a place in the world for a long time, but soon, he catches the attention of the representatives of Communiverse. They see Elio as the leader of Earth, and now he must form an alliance with the aliens to determine where he actually belongs.
The 14-year-old actor Yonas Kibreab voices Elio in the film. He has previously appeared as Finn in Netflix’s Sweet Tooth, Jedi Youngling in Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luna in Into The Dark, and Zachary in Immoral Compass.
Zoe Saldaña as Aunt Olga
Olga was initially supposed to be the mother of the main protagonist. However, the creators decided to make her Elio’s aunt. She is an integral part of the animated film. Olga works for an organization that decodes the signals sent by the aliens to the Earth. She is the one who pushes Elio to socialize and make friends instead of focusing too much on aliens.
Zoe Saldaña is an American actress who has gained massive fame after appearing in some of the biggest Sci-fi projects. These include Avatar, The Adam Project, Star Trek Beyond, and more.
Brad Garrett as Lord Grigon
Here comes the main antagonist, Lord Grigon, who didn’t hesitate to eat his own mother the moment he was born. He is the ambassador of one of the planets, but at the time of writing this article, we have no clue about the name of his home planet. Brad Garrett voices Lord Grigon in Elio. Intriguingly, this is not the first time Garrett has voiced a Pixar character. Before Grigon, Garrett lent his voice to A Bug’s Life’s Dim, Finding Nemo, Finding Dory’s Bloat, and Ratatouille’s Auguste Gusteau.
August Linn as Misha
Misha is a pivotal character in Elio, but for the time being, there’s no major information about them. Remy Edgerly has voiced Glordon in Elio. The American voice actor has gained recognition among the fandom with his performances in Sing 2 and Seal Team.
