Petit Planet is the upcoming life sim from HoYoverse with an interesting premise. The game will let players take over a planet, eventually creating galaxies. Petit Planet is still in development and far from release. However, players can get a taste of the game’s mechanics in early development by participating in their latest closed beta test. HoYoverse has announced that the Petit Planet second closed beta, Stardrift test, and sign-ups are now open, so here is how you can participate.

Petit Planet’s Second Closed Beta Test Sign-Ups Are Open for a Limited Time

Petit Planet closed beta test sign-ups have now begun. The official Petit Planet X account posted the announcement today. The Planet Stardrift test will begin on April 21, 2026. The post comes with a new trailer for the game, which showcases the ‘multiple world’ playstyle that the game boasts. We also see a new neighbour that is massive in size and travelling around the galaxy.

This neighbour meets with our playable character, so it will likely be the way players get the travel between the multiple worlds. The trailer also showcased new gameplay elements, including players practising martial arts with their neighbours.

Now, to sign up for the second Petit Planet Closed Beta test, which arrives after the ‘Coziness Test’ last November, all you have to do is visit the official Petit Planet Startdrift test webpage. Once there, click on the Pre-Register & Join Beta option and log in to your HoYoverse account. Next, join the Beta and complete the survey to finish your signup. If you are selected, your email connected to the HoYoverse account will receive a confirmation email with further details.

If you don’t get the confirmation email, don’t be disheartened, as the game will eventually be released free-to-play. To learn about the game’s mechanics, you can simply follow us during the access.
