XDA developers are already ahead of the curve and have repacked the TWRP build available for OnePlus 5 using the OnePlus 5T kernel to make rooting the OnePlus 5T device possible.
This is an unofficial TWRP build, so we will recommend you to use it to root your device at your own discretion. It is, however, working as expected but you cannot do anything with TWRP yet because neither the device reaches you until 21st November nor are there any custom ROMs available right now.
